I see your pistol, and raise you an NES machine gun. I never got to play it though.

This game along with blades of steel are probably the two greatest video games of all time. I would never have looked at the crowd long enough to catch this.

Hmm. That's a tough statement to agree with if we're including SNES games as well. Super Mario World makes my top 3, and is easily ahead of MTPO for me. Not to mention Mario Kart, Chrono Trigger, Metroid,  and Zelda.

But if it's just NES, then I have to say my picks are:

1 - Super Mario 3

2 - Blades of Steel

3 - Punch Out

Lol it's an actualy glock from a weapons manufacturer. They're taking some heat as parts of it are plastic to avoid metal detection, and it looks like a toy so kids might get hurt. In terms of 30 year old gaming news, i thought this would be more pressing.

Ok I'll admit I went with my favourite games from nes but 007 super Mario 3 and probably about 30 other games make my all time favourite list.

Metal gear solid, resident evil on ps1

Street Fighter, tekken, mortal combat the list is huge of games I waisted my youth on. I still play once in a while but don't get into games like I used to I still remember playing resident evil when I was 13-14 all night because I was to scared to stop and go to bed.

Would love to shoot a duck with that for no other reason than to re live duck hunt in real life. (I would eat the duck after to make all the hippies happy)

Loved M.T.'s Punch-Out. And really, it's still a great game.

Favourite NES games: Super Mario 3, Battletoads, Final Fantasy.

Favourite reasons to bring out the Four Score: Super Spike V-Ball, Super Off-Road, Nintendo World Cup

At first I read this as the "power glove" being the greatest game of all time. My friend bought  one after they released the Wizard movie....it sucked. You had to hold your arm up straight and point it directly at the screen the whole time. Try doing that for an hour+ as you play video games.

This was from back in the day before they had instant online review of games. You often bought stuff based on hype and cover art. You'd shell out $40 for a game because it was about your favorite TV show or had cool cover art. Then you'd get home and be stuck with a total crap game.

My other favorites from NES: Metroid, Bubble Bobble, TMNT 2: arcade game, Double Dragon II, Dragon Warrior, Duck Tales, Mega Man II and III, and Contra.
