All of Horvat's Goals (2015-16)

First things first: I haven't been on this site in months. The whole layout is different to me and I forget where things go. We used to have a thread for Bo in the prospects section but I'm guessing he doesn't belong there anymore. Basically, I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong section of the forum. Please move it if it needs to go somewhere else!

PS: The video is blocked in Sweden and Finland... Sorry to those who live there! Though to be fair, you can find all of these goals on this site, NHL.com, or the Canucks' own YouTube account so it's not a big deal, really. All I did was put them in a single video.

I won't be back for another year -- to do this again, if I feel like it -- so see you all (maybe) in 2017!

Don't care what section it's supposed to be in.

One thing for sure is his foot speed is not an issue.

I expect to see a much longer video next year and for years to come.

Kid is going to be something special here in Vancouver.

Noticed something pretty intruiging looking at that goal package: of the 16 goals Bo scored this season, all but one of those were in games where the score was either tied or a 1 goal game - that one time being against Edmonton later in the year where he scored being down 5-1.

...what's so important about this? Goes to show Bo doesn't score meaningless goals. Scores in crucial moments of games and that's really impressive. 15 of his 16 goals scored during a tie or 1 goal differential? Now that says something about his ability to score clutch/meaningful goals. Usually a player scores a fair portion of his goals on empty nets or when the game is out of hand. Stats won't show this but it's pretty special.

And that Horvat knows how to celly. Rock on Bo B)

  • He's an amazing player already. You can tell this guy competes every night and has the skills and character to go with it. I know alot people dont see him as a future number 1C but if he can keep raising his performance steadily each year and be a tad more consistent he'll definitely get there. Oh and he's only 20. Great highlight package this year Bo!

Thank you and I hope you are back next year to show all 30 of BO's goals :)

If we played every game against the Hurricanes Horvat would score 164 goals.. They must hate him lol 2 goals in both games.

Man his stick handling os very under rated, some of thes young guys in a couple years will be insanely fun to watch!

Horvat

2016 1st pick

Boeser

Demko

Hutton

Tryamkin

Virtanen

McCann

Baertschi

Subban (very underrated)

Im am very confident in this teams not so distant future :)

I see him crossing 20 goals next year if he can build off this year. He had some great stretches, some meh stretches, and some ugly stretches, but if he can work on becoming more consistent he could become great. He was placed in one of the hardest roles in hockey this year, with comparable deployment to Bergeron, Kesler, and Couture (elite two-way players), which makes his season look less impressive than it was. If he can take another step next year, 50 points is not impossible (though 40 would be acceptable again). This year he had long pointless stretches, if he could shorten the dry spells his offense could be top 6 next season.

His defensive play will come along as well... he was tasked with the hardest defensive matchups in the league (again like Kelser and Bergeron), which exposed him more than if he was able to split with another defensively skilled centre like Sutter (next year maybe?!). There was no safety net for Bo this season, but even so he did a commendable job.

Wow! Great compilation! Watching them all in a row like that just confirms the skills I thought he had and more… he's got a wicked shot, speed and recently showing sweet, sweet moves. Nowhere but up for Bo, and the Canucks (I hope).

  • 1 month later...

Just re-watched a majority of his highlights for the season and I have to say he has a very impressive inside-outside deke that works fairly well on defenders and best of all, it's so clean most of the time that even if he doesn't score a goal, it makes one hell of a scoring chance.

Seems he is the only player on the team that has that 'it' factor that can not only beat the opposition with his speed, but also his skill. Reminds me of a better version of Kesler already aside from that one 40+ goal season (remember all those failed attempts that he tried to deke the opposition?)

I am starting to wonder if he is going to be our number 1 centre in a few years to come and can slowly be eased into the role.

Thanks for that video, was fun to watch!

One thing I notice is that almost every goal was a beauty.

Remember when Bert first came to the Nux, all he did was score highlight reel goals. I remember Larsheid commenting that if he could ever learn to score the ugly goals along with the highlight reel goals, he'd become an unstoppable force, and that's exactly what he did.

Now if Bo can learn to do the same, he's going to be very tough to stop in the years to come!

Typical cdc over rating our own players.

Not hard to do what Bo does when the competitions best d has to face the sedins every night

Didn't Bo have one of the worst plus minus in the league. ?

Third line center is the best we can ever hope for .

I don't know whether to insult you or give you a plus one.

I will make myself another crown and 7 though.
