Is it possible to move replies to another topic? It does all relate? Tryamkin Larsen & Sbisa seem to have a leg up on spots 5,6 & 7? Stecher, Subban, Biega & Pedan, in no particular order, and of course Juolevi, make up the bodies competing for those same 3 spots. Who can expect semi regular playing time. And to occupy the 3/4's of a million dollar job as the 8th man who mostly sits in liu of top billing at $75K in Utica...
HollowRoads
Anyone know what stechers instagram post from this morning means? I don't know how to imbed but it says "awhoo #yotesnation " with a coyotes logo jersey? Edit: just noticed he's still wearing nucks pants. Maybe just a summer league or something? Ghostsof1915
He's probably be bound for Utica, but I would not be surprised if he makes the jump to the NHL sooner rather than later.

Really? Why? I haven't seen any of him aside from highlight packages (which he admittedly does look good (mostly really smart) in) but I'm not sure he's quite ready to make the jump this year or next. My my thinking behind this is mainly related to size. Kid seems smart and driven - all the better, but he faces tremendous obstacles. Ideally, from where I see it, anyway, he spends a couple years in Utica honing the defensive aspects while maintaining offensive development. So, he'd break in at 24 or so as an offensive specialist with reliable play against grinders and two-way forwards. I don't think he could handle the speed, creativity, and raw skill of top NHL players, and I don't think he'll be ready to anytime soon. As a caveat to all this, I'll add that I'm totally unsure, and am taking a contrary position partially to stimulate discussion, haha.

Though he's showing good habits in the picture, that's summer pick up hockey, Alf. Even an old, washed up guy like me can do that on the ice in the summer time. If Stetcher can do what he's doing in summer hockey in the NHL, then we've got something to be REALLY excited about.

Reminds me of my old beer league all-star days! It all worked until I did a Bobby Orr and ripped chest muscles. Ended my hockey but not the beer consumption. Salmonberries
Can't wait to see Stecher take a serious run at a roster spot. I'm looking for a good showing from that kid.

Pedan i think makes it as the 8th dman. but he's got to have a good showing. if not. then it's waivers for him. he ain't going to be gifted a spot simply because he's big and young. you gotta show that you can play. if another team picks him up so be it. but he's got to earn his ice time and his roster spot. Absolutely, that's what I would expect. Also because Pedan can also draw into the line up when we also need a guy who can throw em. No sense leaving that job solely to Gudbranson. But it is also why they have camp. Juolevi or Stecher could be better than advertised? Dorsett, god love his enthusiasm and that he goes, does not intimidate too many.
