[2016 NHL Entry Draft] - Nikolaj Krag Christensen

Yes, Nikolaj as in Nikolaj Ehlers.

Nikolaj Krag Christensen is a winger who caught my eye a little bit when watching Denmark at the World Juniors. He's a big boy at 6'3 200lbs and plays a power-drive to the net game, causing chaos around the net. He throws his weight around, but focuses on puck possession and control. Also plays very well defensively and can be quite imposing when taking a run at the opposition's puck carrier, whatever their size. Definitely looks to have potential as a middle 6 multidimensional forward that has the versatility to fill multiple roles. Of course, he could also fill just as good a role on the fourth line, where he can make an impact with limited minutes. He doesn't have the highest of skill level, but sees the ice well and can finish his chances when they come to him. Can look lazy, but this isn't due to disinterest; his physicality can take him out of the play at times, and he will need to curb some of those habits.

Definitely worth considering in the 6th or 7th round as a value pick with low risk.

Fun fact, he plays for the "Rødovre Mighty Bulls," Jannik Hansen's Danish team.
