BOISBRIAND, Que. - Chase Marchand has put his name into the record books.

The Rouyn-Noranda goaltender set a new Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff record by not allowing a goal in his last 215 minutes of play as the Huskies shut out the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 3-0 in Game 4 of their second round playoff series on Wednesday night.

Marchand, who made 20 saves against the Armada, also recorded shutouts in Games 2 and 3 of the best-of-seven series. The last goal he allowed was in Game 1.

Former Halifax Moosehead Guillaume Lavallee previously set the record in 2003.

Jean-Christophe Beaudin led the offence with a pair of power-play goals as the Huskies took a 3-1 series lead. Martins Dzierkals had the other in the first while Anthony-John Greer tacked on three assists.

Samuel Montembeault started in net for Blainville-Boisbriand, but was pulled after kicking out 30-of-33 shots in 40 minutes. Francis Leclerc made 12 saves in relief.

Rouyn-Noranda was 2 for 5 on the power play with the Armada going scoreless on three chances with the man advantage.
