-Vintage Canuck-
Quote Claude Julien will be back behind the Bruins bench next season. Boston’s GM, Don Sweeney, said so this morning at a press conference, where he sat alongside his head coach and sung his praises. “I believe in Claude as a coach,” said Sweeney. “I think our core principles align very well.” But after the disappointment of missing the playoffs for the second straight season, there will be at least one change to Julien’s staff, and there could be more coming. “Doug Houda will not be back,” Sweeney said of the long-time assistant, while noting that there are other assistants who are currently without contracts. When asked where it all went wrong this season, Julien pointed to his team’s failures to get results in the big games. He used the Winter Classic as a prime example. (Boston, you’ll recall, was blown out by the Canadiens at Gillette Stadium. At the time, Julien called it “one of our worst games at the worst time.”) http://nhl.nbcsports.com/2016/04/14/julien-will-be-back-behind-bruins-bench-sweeney-has-work-to-do/

Chalky
Can you imagine CDC if he was fired and hired by US? I alone would go nuclear, and I don't even think I'm all that volatile of a poster. This is good news.

Linden and Benning have expressed confidence in Willie, at least for next season.

If Claude Julien was fired, and Benning and Claude bro'd down hard enough to displace Willy, the CDC would erupt. There is no love lost between many Canuck fans and ol' Claude....including myself. That's not to say he isn't an excellent coach, but I still despise him.

The guy was a big part of setting a culture that condoned criminal assaults, death threats, diving, and complete lack of accountability. Under his watched, the Bruins consistently disgraced the sport with their antics. He's absolutely not welcome here given the emphasis this organization puts on character. No criminal charges so no criminal assault took place. Maybe watch curling you delicate little flower.
Monty
Smart, smart move by the Bruins. There is no better option available than Julien for them to replace him with.
WHL rocks
Good, now that blowhard Pratt can stop saying the Canucks should open up the money vaults and hire him here.
