Am I the only one who believes the skate jerseys will soon replace the orca?

I notice Bo wearing a black t-shirt during the exit interviews with the skate logo on it. I wondered to myself? Is this a sign of something to come? I mean it is our future captain wearing it after all. I also noticed a couple others wearing it as well, cant remember who though.

 

 Now being 23 years old and not really getting to experience the good ol Bure days when we wore these jerseys, these are like new jerseys to me. That game against the leafs when we wore these jerseys really opened my mind up to the idea of switching. Our guys look mean in them, seriously the jersey looks like it puts fear into the opponents in a wierd kinda way. Virtanen looked amazing in it, i would love to see Tryamkin in one someday. Linden and Benning both wore these jerseys when they were Canuck players and there is no doubt they are trying to bring them back. 

 

I honestly think they will be our 3rd jersey next year and eventually will be our Home/Away jerseys after the Sedins retire. Thats just my opinion though, and I really hope they do!

Nope. I grew up on the skate and it was great, but it's done. We have moved on to the orca now. I don't see them switching back to an old logo. I could see it being wore once a year.  Or maybe on nights we honour a player from that era, but I don't see the need to make a full switch.

I think we should just stick with the current logo and quit flip-flopping around. Watching some of the SC games tonight, the unity in the crowd (floods of yellow shirts in Pittsburgh, tons of red in DC) really stood out to me. Me and my bf were discussing how Canucks fans in Rogers Arena could never create that type of atmosphere (assuming they were actually at the game, watching the game, and not on their phones) since the team has gone through so many iterations of jerseys. Even if you go and try to support the team, on any given night your outfit might be black, yellow, red, blue, green, etc. I'd love for Rogers to have that unified atmosphere to intimidate the other team, but it's hard when they hand out so many options.

I did notice Horvat's shirt, though, and I thought it was clean. It would be cool as a novelty, once-a-season type thing, but not the full-time. Let's not tarnish the legacy anymore than it has been.

I hope not. The Orca logo is probably the worst in the league, but our colours are amazing, and the striping and everything else is gorgeous. I like the Skate jerseys as a throwback, even as a new third, but the colours should never be changed again.

I'm a "newer" Canuck fan so I only know the orca jersey but I like it with stick in rink as the 3rd. As for bringing back the skate I understand the nostalgia but let it go. That was a different time that should be a memory with maybe a retro night every year or two.

I'm an older fan, and the only jersey we've had a consistently good team with is the orca.  I liked the old stick in rink, but why go back to jerseys when our team was at its worst?

Changing the teams colours is going to cost millions of dollars, with the amount of work it will take to re-brand everything it just not going to happen

 

I wouldn't be surprised if its our 3rd jersey next season though.

I completely agree with you but I like how the stick and rink looks, besides I recently  bought a poster of it so they have to wear it

I agree but look at the name on the back of that jersey.  It just doesn't pass.  No 17 should be banned.
