He covered it all. A genius in every sense of the word.

I remember first seeing him perform on TV back in the day...I couldnt believe this guy and his showmanship...playing guitar..jumping off the stage..it blew my mind..you saw some of that in Purple Rain...

Oh yeah. He could do anything. He was Sly Stone, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, and Jimi Hendrix rolled into this brilliant person.

 

As well, he maintained his privacy and never gave more to the public than he needed to. His music was all we needed.

He was also true to his home...never left Minnesota for the bright lights.
