[Proposal] Montreal-Vancouver

I like the idea i just think it would take more

Yeah they'd probably want our 1st to 6th pick on top of that. But perhaps with our 31st to 36th pick instead. Then I'm game.

I just don't see Edler waiving his NTC while the Sedins are here. And Tanev has a limited NTC (he has to give a list of teams, so it's possible that Montreal isn't one of them).

Why, exactly, do we want PK?  We pretty much have both Edler and Tanev for him.

So right Alf,.  Montreal just exposed how weak they are without Carey Price..  and one of the main reasons they were was because PK takes huge risks and is a major liability without one of the best goaltenders in the game behind him.

If Montreal accepted trading their superstar/most exciting player for 2 mediocre players, I am sure Habs fans would riot.

Subban their most exciting player?

Galchenyuk, Pacioretty, Price, & Gallagher

argue a case

PK can go end to end, deke one guy, pull off a 360 and then shot a 140km/h slapper top shelf. Galchenyuk is the only one with similar talent like that. Price is a goalie, different convo because they cant score goals. PK brings Habs fans to their feet, similar to what Kovalev did for them years ago.

He also deserves a special nod for telling Bruins fans that he will shut them up, then proceeds to score the winner in game 7

Check out this beauty deke, he is as gifted offensively as any other D-man out there

Neither Tanev or Edler are mediocre.  Tanev is getting better every year.  Edler is a good D but Tanev is more reliable.  I wouldn't give up those two D for PK.  PK is good but a high risk high reward D.  I consider Tanev easily one of our top 3 D.

I'm just saying they have a few other guys who have the same excitement factor as Subban without the distraction antics or

occasional sloppiness.

Subban as creative and Elite as he is, he turns over the puck a lot and takes a lot of bad penalties for a top pairing D man.

Anybody could have scored that breakaway goal, he had 15 feet of room.

This is a solid breakaway.

^^^^^ Galchenyuk's goal was nicer but I agree with CaptKirk888, PK Subban's hitting is absolutely incredible. Just one of his hits can change the momentum of the game for the better. Plus his bro Jordan is in our system.

Arguably one of the best hits I've ever seen. And Marchand would never score on us ever again.

So we or some other team needs to spend a "Port Metro Vancouver load of assets" to acquire Subban just for his hitting....

So many other D men you can trade/sign for that. Especially a D man who can make big hits consistently is available in FA...

Russell, Quincey, Smid, Gryba, Polak

We badly need a gamebreaker type player, a player that makes fans want to go see this team. We havent had one since Bure and Mogilny, just raw speed and talent. Too many times if the Sedins get shut down, we have nobody to just put the team on their back and will their way to a goal or big play. Horvat may be that guy in the future....

If we unload a brinks truck for PK, it will be well worth it just for entertainment value alone. Plus we already know how competitive he is, and is a proven playoff performer.

What do you think it will realistically take to get him?

Horvat, Baertschi, McCann, Virtanen,

Boeser, Tryamkin, J. Subban are game breakers

I like how you follow this up after saying PK is the most exciting player on their team. So much wrong here.
