JohnLocke
Probably not really thread worthy, but it's the off season, so why not? Today during a friendly game at the IIHF world championships, Jacob Markstrom almost fought Sergei Bobrovsky but the refs got in the way. http://www2.tsn.ca/bardown/Story.aspx?Jacob%2bMarkstrom%2band%2bSergei%2bBobrovsky%2balmost%2bfight%2bat%2bthe%2bend%2bof%2bthe%2bSweden%2band%2bRussia%2bgame&id=578381
Ossi Vaananen
Saw this in a tweet, and no it's not thread worthy. I believe Markstrom did that at some point for us this past year, but can't remember which game. He's not afraid to muck it up, it's good to see. Kevin Biestra
Thread worthy enough if you ask me. If it doesn't generate discussion, it will slide to page 2. I don't get why people are in such a hurry to shut down discussion on a site that doesn't generate a whole lot of new threads.
-AJ-
6'6" vs 6'2". Kind of a huge height difference. Bobrovsky is actually a few pounds heavier though.

Speaking from experience, it's never a good thing to get into a tussle with a guy with a ridiculous reach...I've taken my fair share of lumps to the head (though there's a lot of clutching and grabbing in hockey fights and smaller guys being able to get in tight, a la Rick Rypien). Marky's a beaut...I'd say he's become very North American-like over the past several years. Good on him.

JeremyCuddles
Hasn't Marky got the memo, fighting is out of the game. Geez, trade this goon for a solid two way netminder.

Not a major scrap but he was the initiator that time too.
Cramarossa
I like feisty Markstrom. It's good to know at least one person on this team has some grit.

SaintPatrick33
So does this mean after Dorsett that Markstrom is the toughest player on the Canucks right now? Maybe he can also work on clearing out guys from his crease since his defenseman didnt help much in that regard this past year
hatedkid666
Markstrom is a big boy. I think he woud win that fight
Trebreh
Too bad Marky wasn't in net when that little bitch Quick challenged Miller to a fight.
