Miller plus 5th overall to Columbus for 3rd overall

Recommended Posts

Here's my proposal.

Columbus really needs a solid mentor to help Bobrovsky solidify his game.

Canucks package Miller and the 5th overall to Columbus for 3rd overall... maybe they'll go for it?

The Canucks don't have a 5th rounder this year. It was traded to Montreal in part of the Zack Kassian deal.

Thats an insult of an offer, there is a clear cut separation after the top 3, and an aging goalie who has had two straight seasons with injuries at a 6 million cap hit is not enough.

You'll need McCann on top of the 5th, as well as a mid round pick and that just gets them to listen to you.

I think he means the 5th overall, Miller......for their 3rd overall pick.  For real....

Maybe. But he stated 5th rounder, meaning a pick in the 5th round.

Yes, I goofed in my original title post... whole post is not well thought through... like I said, didn't research Bobovsky's contract.

Call me a bozo on this one.

Never mind, let some admin delete it, it was a stupid post, didn't realize Bobrovsky had such a big contract.

You get a +1 for being able to see why your idea would not make much sense for the Blue Jackets.  Where most thread starters would not.

If it's the 5th overall pick and Miller for the 3rd overall pick. I don't see the Blue Jackets accepting this.

They already have an experienced

goaltender in McElhinney, they also have two good young goaltenders who saw

playing time this year in Korpisalo and

Anton Forsberg. Then behind them is  probs the best goaltender from the 2012 draft in Oscar Dansk.

To get Columbus' 3rd OA that's really ours and was robbed from us...

We'd have to do..

To Canucks: 3rd overall, (Conditional) 4th rounder

To Blue Jackets: 5th overall, Hansen, Rodin, 33rd overall

Jarmo Kekäläinen is stoked on life that he'll be able to grab one of the Fins. There is no doubt he'll probably be pushing hard for the 2nd as well to try to get J.P an Laine on the same squad.

Even if some how Columbus ended up getting the first overall I'm sure he'd grab Laine over Mathews.

Bjorkstrand Werenski Rychel 1st round 2017 for 2016 2nd overall

Why not.

To Columbus:  McCann, Cassels, Columbus's 2nd round pick back, + our this years 2nd round pick + our next years 1st round pick.

To Vancouver: 3rd overall + David Clarkson

Van gives up a kings ransom but gets 2 picks in this years top 5  :)

In. A. Heart. Beat!

They can trade Miller, ASAP. Marks is our guy, and a cheap Reimer type can back him up. We can benefit from dumping his salary.
