True, but Hansen's totals were better last year and Yak has asked for a trade. Hansen also has intangibles.

Even with Yak wanting out, I doubt Chiarelli trades him and their pick, for a pick one spot lower and a 30 year old who had a career year playing with the Sedins.

I think if the Oilers were to move Nail Yakupov, they would ship him to the East. I don't think they would trade him to a team in their own division. He needs a change of scenery, and I think he could fit well on the Canadiens. The Galchenyuk-Yakupov duo in the OHL was terrific. They could come together again, this time, in the big league.

I feel like Yakupov still has more value, even though he hasn't played up to expectations but he's still 8 years younger then Hansen but I really don't know.

what about our 2nd round  pick for Yak ?

Larionov and Benning played on this team together. I wonder how their relationship is.

Larionov is very tight with these Russian kids. Its more then just about the money for these guys. Maybe if Larionov thinks Van is a good place for Yak , we could be in a good negotiating position.

It depends on how much less they are willing to take to get him to the east I guess.

I doubt Calgary was too excited about trading Bea to us. But we had by far the highest bid apparently.
