By sea and land
I am so hopeful that we can sign Cagguila. If we (Canucks) are successful, what does this mean come time to draft with the #5 overall pick? Cagguila plays LW and when Benning takes to the podium, both Dubois and Tkachuk play LW although Dubois can/may play center. Personally I believe we trade down a handful of spots IF we're successful in signing Cagguila. That would be a great result as far as I'm concerned. If we sign Cagguila, do you think it increases the odds of trading down to draft a Dman OR Centerman OR do we stay at #5 and select BPA? I say trade down. Maybe we trade down and select Jost and snag a Dman @ #33? Cagguila news comes come Elliot Freidman.
Gstank29
Wait so Cagguilia is such an impact player Benning will change his draft plans because we signed him? He will change nothing because he is still a NHL long shot
MJDDawg
Do we really need a new thread just to tell us something that could go in one of several existing Caligula threads?

Fateless
As much as I'd love to have him, by the way Canucks fans are already placing sky-high expectations on him before he's even made a decision about his landing spot - I doubt he comes here (but would be happy to be proven wrong). Cagg needs to be given time to see if his game will translate to the NHL and our fan-base and media are quite possibly the worst in the league when it comes to patience. Gstank29
Just now, erkayloomeh said: Thats what I was about to ask. Is he really that good.? No, he will need 2 seasons in the AHL and even then he ceiling is pretty much a 3rd line winger. Some say top 6 winger but the chances of that are about the same as us drafting in the top 3 next year
Tortorella's Rant
Read that as Drake Caligula. Better sign that guy for his name alone. This is close enough though I guess
Mathew Barzal
It's going to be a sad, sad scene if one or both of Stecher and Cagguila sign and don't pan out with the Canucks.

Really, the undrafted long shots not panning out is sad? It's the most likely outcome.
