[Report] Bruce Boudreau to coach Wild

Actually surprised that Calgary didn't attempt to get him, or that he didn't hold out for Calgary. While the Wild have some good pieces, Parise and Suter's contracts, not to mention Vanek's are going to be a weight around their neck for quite a while.

Suter's contract isn't bad for a top D man. Parise is meh imo.

I don't think Minnesota has a good team though, so wonder why bruce wanted to be apart of it so fast

Just now, Dazzle said:

Boudreau is a good season coach, but his teams seem to disappear in the playoffs, generally speaking.

Why is Minnesota making this move?

Well Minnesota hasn't been bad in the playoffs. They've either met or exceeded expectations each year. If he can make them a better regular season team, maybe they'll finish as a higher seed and get to face easier opponents?

So now we need Calgary to hire Dave Cameron from Ottawa and Ottawa to hire Bob Hartley from Calgary and they can leave Travis Green the frack alone.

What about Anaheim? I think it's been reported that they are the team that would have interest in Travis.

They can have Mike Yeo.

If Green wants to go to Anaheim, I think they will welcome him with open arms. He played for the Ducks, and I believe he has some other ties to that area.

Hmm....out of all the teams BB could have chosen, I don't think the Wild are a good fit for him...at all. He's getting a team that is the complete opposite of his Washington and Anaheim teams. Minnesota has no players even remotely close to talented in the offensive zone as Getzlaf/Perry/Ovi/Backstrom. What's worse is Minny has their own cap problems, and a terrible prospect pool.

He's going to have to ride that prevent trap defense strategy hard now if he wants to have success at Minny, because with the exception of Tuch and Erikson-Ek, his best players for the entire time he's in Minny are already on the team, and they ain't going anywhere because of their NTC/NMC clauses.

Boudreau paid the price because Perry quit playing after the regular season ended.   Anaheim's core has peaked imo.

Will be interesting to see what he does with a team without any superstars?

And what is the excuse for the 2 years where Perry scored 11pts in 13 games in 2014 and 18pts in 16 games in 2015?

That core has hardly peaked. They are 30 and 31. They may be leaving their prime soon, but you make it sound like they are the Sedins.

Anaheim will be perfectly fine.
