LaBamba
I came completely unraveled today between Golden and Revelstoke. Why do truckers pull into the passing lane to pass other truckers going up a mountain. The truck on the right, 35km/hr, truck in passing lane 35.1km/hr. After 9 consecutive passing lanes I completely lost my mind and laid on my horn hard. I also hate when people bright you as they pass you on the highway when you forget to put your dims on. What a cowardly move. You don't know my story, what if my mom died and I was driving home weeping. Now We are both blind and I hit the ditch. My truck goes up in flames and I'm dead. You sure showed me. Anyone else lose their mind on the road? Link to comment

Just grinds my gears. LOOOL! Anyways, yea I am sure we have all lost it at some point. Few months back on the hwy some old lady just drifted right into my lane, I nearly swerved into a ditch. I laid into my horn and then she went back into the other lane and nearly cut another guy off! #$(*%& Ridiculous. So for the rest of the way I drove behind this crazy bat with my high beams on and horn blaring. When I got home my horn was broken (never buy GM vehicles). Old, senile people need to have their licences revoked. Link to comment
Wilbur
Was trying to get to Planet Ice in Delta...kept on missing the turn or taking the wrong turn and going over the Alex Fraser Bridge. At about the 3rd time over the bridge and less than 10 minutes from puck drop I let the obscenities fly. It really didn't help that each time crossing the bridge I can see Planet Ice there just teasing me...just not the road that goes there. Thankfully, I was in the car alone with the windows shut. Thankfully (2), the Alex Fraser Bridge is not a toll bridge. Thankfully (3), I got on the ice just in the nick of time. Sucks to be late when you're the goalie. Link to comment
Dral
I have a few friends who get really worked up when driving... it's kinda sad really, often it will be over such a tiny little thing, and they will make mistakes as well... all they are doing is driving up their own blood pressure and taking years off their life Link to comment

Anyone else lose their mind on the road? i rarely get raged on the road....but i do feel ya on this one....a few years back, same thing happened to me....short passing lane opportunity going up a mountain pass and i hit the gas to pass the 2 rigs in front of me only to be cut off by the 2nd rig who decides he needs to pass as well despite he can only go slightly faster than the rig in front of him. it was so frustrating and i let the expletives fly......only to feel like a jackass minutes later when a second passing lane came up and i was able to pass both rigs. road rage can be real....i dont know what came over me...one second im perfectly calm enjoying a beautiful road trip and all of a sudden im enraged over something silly. now i try to just keep things in perspective and go with the flow...life's too short for me to sweat the little things. Ossi Vaananen
I nearly killed a guy about a year ago. We were on the highway heading Eastbound, he decided to move into thepassing lane and go the exact speed of the car beside him, so I couldn't conceivable pass despite being in the passing lane. I thought this odd, then he proceeded to put his brakes on periodically if i got too close. I still don't know what preceeded this behavior, as I don't recall having seen or passed him to begin with. Anyways, after nearly causing an accident with his periodic braking, I decided to give him the horn and flash my highbeams (i'm in a truck, he's in a sedan). Despite this, he continues to go the speed of the guy beside him, making passing impossible. This is late at night, after 10 or so, so there isn't many cars on the highway to begin with. Anyways, we're in North Vancouver, and this little charade continues until the top of the cut, at that point he decides to gun it down hill. This is a steep hill for those who do not know. He's probably doing 120, but I decide to follow him anyway because I am beyond pissed at this guy. He takes the first exit at the bottom of the hill, and proceeds to the Superstore parking lot. I follow him, and park him in with my truck. I then get out and rap on the windshield. I'm not a big guy, but I work out frequently (5'10" 185 15%). The guy in the car is in his early 50s (I'm 26), and I'm stunned by his little fit. As I rap on the windshield yelling vulgarities, he refuses to come out. I then kick out his side mirror and leave. It's not my proudest moment, but people shouldn't be doing that $&!#. The passing lane is the passing lane for a reason, move over if someones trying to pass, don't block the lane or flare your brakes at the car behind you. It's incredibly dangerous. In this particular case the driver was being incendiary, as evidenced by his braking, matching the speed of the car beside him, as well as speeding up when he got clearance. For the life of me I can't think of anything that I did that would cause this behavior from him, as I believe he entered the highway 2 on-ramps after myself. Also, since many of you are hockey fans/players I'm sure you understand that you shouldn't turtle. Link to comment
HC20.0
I just swear usually. Only one time I've ever been really PO'd driving, and that was because I had a b**** from Saskatchewan literally inches from my bumper and the car ahead of me needed to slow down for a turn. I couldn't brake at all because she would've rear ended me if I had even slowed down a little, so I had to do a crazy maneuver around the car in front of me to avoid getting hit or hitting somebody else. I really laid on the horn and let the cow have it. Worst part was I was already speeding. She just wanted to speed faster, and it was a single lane highway. I couldn't move over and let her pass. ABNuck
Tons of incidents, even had to call the cops on a few guys who were clearly intoxicated or stoned, but my favorite incident has to be the one where I saved a guy's life and got the F.U. fingey for it. A few years back (when I was still young enough to have reflexes) I was driving on a crowded 4 lane street in an industrial area (I was behind the wheel of a 23tonne vac truck). This impatient D-bag behind me decides to go whippin' past me on the right then pull right in front of me only to throw on his left turn signal at the next uncontrolled intersection. As there was traffic coming the other way he had to come to a full stop. Since this all happened in a couple of seconds I was pretty close behind him when he slammed on the brakes to turn. I had to dynamite my fours and lay on the air blaster. If I hadn't hit the heavy binders I guarantee you I would have run right over his little Prius piece of crap, killing him in the process. So did I get a "thanks for not killing me" wave? Nope. I got the single digit salute. Oh well, all in a normal day's driving pretty much anywhere in Alberta. Link to comment

aGENT
Seriously though, besides the plentiful apparent lobotomy/stroke victims simply oblivious to anyone else on the road in greater Van, commercial truck drivers who think they're driving cars are probably my next biggest pet peeve. Cutting people off, weaving in and out of lanes etc. They're a !@#$'ing menace. Link to comment
Angry Goose
I try to be courteous on the road by not pulling into the merge lane at a red light to try and gun it to the front and pass a few cars. Pisses me off when people do that, just wait in line like everyone else. Also, cell phones. Also, big trucks, but they probably hate my car just as much. At least I'm patient when I drive though. Kassian87
The Asians in richmond are nuts!! Some people shouldn't be allowed to drive. Nothing more annoying than a douchebag that won't let you merge/change lanes Link to comment

This story is about that whole entitlement attitude that makes me go nuts. "I'll show him" just like brighting someone as they pass by instead of politely and safely flashing them from afar. We should be looking out for each other on the road not trying to piss each other off. Link to comment

babych
I really dislike tailgaters. There's a stretch of road that I drive daily where the speed limit goes from 80 down to 60 and it's a single lane, non-passing area. I always slow down as, surprise, this is an area that the police like to set up their radar traps (in fact, I got a ticket there once which is why I pay attention). Anyway, it's pretty much inevitable that some douche is going to ride my ass for those 10 minutes or so. I usually try to ignore it but I have pumped the brakes (not too hard - just enough to let the person behind me know they are way too close) on occasion. Link to comment
