tera_ha
I find it ridiculous that people praise Tampa (who had an easier road then Dallas IMO) for making conference finals without Stamkos. At the same time they forget Tyler Seguin and how important he was for a team like Dallas. Now I am not saying that Tyler Seguin would've helped Dallas stop 6 goals in that last game lol. Kari Lehtonen is not a Stanley Cup winning goalie Would Dallas have done better with Seguin? I guess we will never know
The Weasel
Yeah, but the difference is that the Lightning advanced and the Stars didn't. Plus, no one likes Tyler Seguin. &^@# him and Benn. The Lightning also won in 5 games whereas the Stars lost in 7 and got blown out on home ice in the most important game.
Glory_Days
Unless unbeknownst to us all, Sequin is also a goalie and they strapped some goalie pads on him, the answer you are looking for is no, no he would have not.

We didn't forget Seguin, but why would we praise Dallas for losing without him? That's why people are talking about Tampa positively instead of Dallas. Apparently that isn't obvious to the OP. I don't take kindly players suggesting that the Sedins have some sort of incestuous relationship. So disrespectful on so many levels. It wasn't just a joke. They thought they could make fun of people and get away with it. The Sedins are some of the kindest people on the planet and don't deserve any of this garbage thrown at them. Piggy Bank
LOL, Benn and Seguin are incredible. My favorite non-sedin duo... In the game 7, no, he would not have helped them win. They were blown out. HOWEVER, he would have made a huge difference in tighter games, by providing more offence. To win 3 with out him, they would have won 4 with him. Seguin just called them weird I believe. Lots of twins are weird. It almost seems like people are keen on blaming Seguin for what Benn said. I don't know if it is a soft spot for Benn being from BC or Seguin being a tool. Despite Seguin's faults I don't think he deserves to have words put in his mouth. SaintPatrick33
Sounds like the OP has a giant man-crush on sequin Dallas D got bullied, and their goalies sucked. That is not a winning formula in the playoffs.
Neko
I would blame most of it on Lehtonen, he's pretty streaky so he has some good games and some really lousy games (like Luongo's final days in Vancouver).
khay
Don't think so. I always like to watch Lindy Ruff's hockey since his Buffalo days, a fun exciting offensive hockey. But if he wasn't able to win with Hasek in net, I don't know if he will be able to win with Lehtonen in net. Seguin would have helped but at the end of the day, Lindy Ruff's team needs an elite level goalie who can backstop that offensive style to to win against any serious cup contender. HawksFan94
Would a top-line forward somehow solve their dreadful defense and goaltending? Debatable, but I'd go with probably not.
shazzam
It's possible, it may not have went to 7 with him in the lineup and they win. OR he plays like complete $&!# and they lose in 4. Who the hell knows
BI3KSA-
He could easily have changed the trajectory of the series, making it not even go to game 7. He also could have scored early for them in game 7 and changed the momentum of the game completely. Lots of what ifs, but in the end none of it matters, cause he was injured and the Stars got eliminated.

Kari Lehtonen is not a Stanley Cup winning goalie Would Dallas have done better with Seguin? I guess we will never know Tampa had an easier route to the semi's because they destroyed detroit and islanders respetivley...and a lot of experts thought detroit and islanders would have given tampa without stamkos, strallman and brown more of a run for their money. islanders beat the panthers, had panthers advanced, tampa would have swept them....tampa is the real deal right now..had bruins advanced instead of red wings, it would have been the same story..boston was playing like crap and tampa was just getting their groove on...tampa would have also beaten caps too imo as well....east is just weak in general and tampa is just dominating at all cylinders right now...stevie y is a genius by not trading drouin, this team is the real deal... yes stars would have won had seguin been in the line up...the stars are a great offenisve team that can outscore their opponents, dallas would have won in six.... Without consistently good goaltending Dallas will never go anywhere, they might win a round or two in the future but that's it. Seguin might have helped enough to get them past the Blues this year but there's no way they'd win a cup.
