nuckin_futz
Mum ‘Creeped Out’ By Delivery Of Her Favourite Foods After One Date A young mum has revealed how she felt “creeped out” after a man sent her a Tesco delivery of all her favorite foods - after just one date. Lindsay Jones was stunned when the delivery van turned up to her home in Cardiff on Saturday morning with bags of shopping that she hadn’t ordered. But when she saw what was being delivered, she realized that the person behind it was a man she had been on a single date with. The 33-year-old found fillet steak, mussels, Hendricks gin, tonic water and a box of chocolates in the bags - all of which she had mentioned to her date when they discussed their perfect “last meal” just days earlier. But Lindsay was not impressed, and had actually been trying to avoid the man’s requests for a second date before the delivery turned up. She revealed: “I met the man for lunch last week and it was perfectly fine but I didn’t really want to go ahead with a second date . "I hadn’t yet responded to his request to go out for dinner, so I was a bit shocked when a Tesco delivery driver walked up the driveway holding a crate of food. “I told him he must be mistaken, but he said it was the correct house number. "As I rifled through it and saw the steak and mussels, I suddenly remembered the conversation I’d had with my date two days earlier. “We’d been comparing all the things we’d eat and drink for our last meal. "I suppose it was a lovely gesture, but the sentiment was obviously ‘are you going to agree to a second date or not?’ “I found it quite weird, to be honest. I was a little bit creeped out. I’d only spent two hours with the man over lunch!” Lindsay’s friends took a different view, calling his gesture “adorable” - but the mum-of-one is not so sure. She added: "It was a nice enough date but purely platonic. I am fiercely adamant that I want to remain single at the moment. I even have a two-date rule.” Lindsay now plans to eat the food with her 10-year-old son before deleting and blocking her date’s number from her phone. https://ca.news.yahoo.com/romantic-creepy-mum-sent-tesco-114218906.html ********************************** So what do you say CDC, is this creepy? Is it imaginative? Would you appreciate it or be scared? The online comments definitely lean in favor of the bringer of Gin.

Mike Vanderhoek
another classic example of how people cannot do nice things or make gestures these days without people getting their backs up. A lot of guys have to try extremely hard to try and grab the attention of a crush or someone they have feelings for, there was a time when a man remembering what you said you like, something you said you would really like was a good thing. Lets not forget that awkward effort a lot of guys put in trying to be noticed or appreciated too. Lady will remain single lol

Tre Mac
Well as a single guy I must say I don't find it that creepy but it is definitely something I wouldn't do and her reaction is exactly why. She didn't need to broadcast this like an attention whore on the webz

Which is kind of the purpose of the forum, no? 40 years ago this would have been seen as a kind gesture. Now it's seen by some as creepy. In another 40 years will this get you arrested? Canuck Surfer
Whats frigid is they were talking about their "last" meal. And suddenly he buys it for her. Eeek...

Considering the context of the "my last meal" would be, this is more than creepy. It's frightening. Could this guy be a stalker/killer, who (during a date) brings up the topic of "my last meal" and then sends the meal to the lady's house as a symbol? MJDDawg
If they were talking about their "last meal" preferences, this could be considered a threat to do her harm. Edit: Alf, you beat me to it.
chon derry
she deserves to be weirded out for initially having lunch with a perfect stranger in the first place, and him for doing a thoughtful nice gesture , i mean who does that ,......... weirdo's. Cerridwen
Considering how the discussion of the foods in question came about on that first date and then they arrived at my door? Yeah, I'd be a tad creeped out, too. A whole lot creeped out, actually. A Man cannot send a few nice things he was told she loved and she is creeped out ? She should be impressed with his listening skills and maybe reconsider living a lifetime with 20 cats and that bottle Of Hendricks gin
Electro Rock
I'd be weirded out by it, but turning around and posting it up on social media is just as odd IMO.
Kragar
I can understand being a little creeped out, but I think she should have returned the order when it comes from someone she has no plans of seeing again. With that nice bottle of Hendricks there, he could have dropped $100 on the order. Good point by some of you, picking up on the "last meal" concept. That does make it creepier! LuckyLuciano
On a side note do any of you guys have the problem of women your not attracted to falling for you? I swear since I've been single again (which I am thoroughly enjoying) I've had multiple (7) women express interest within the last two months. Personally I'm not interested in any of them but I'm more than willing to give them the D. The ages of these women range from 24 to 28 to be more precise and one thing I've noticed is a lot of their friends seem to be getting married so is it just an act of desperation? Should I take advantage of this opportunity as I normally would and drag em all along or should I be the noble guy and marry them all? Or just tell em I'd rather be friends
etsen3
Not newsworthy, but the dude is definitely coming on too strong. I can see why she thinks it's weird.

Kakanucks
At first I thought, damn, attention seeking much? Just return the damn thing and reject his offer for the second lunch. But then I re-read the article, and caught the "last meal" part. Now that is creepy. But then not sure why the topic would come up in the first place. on a first lunch date too. Cramarossa
I think it's only creepy because she doesn't like him. I'm sure if she was excited about him she would've loved it and invited him over to cook the dinner. I know I'm guilty of finding things creepy or off-putting about guys that aren't cute. The same things are flattering with guys I like. It's a horrible double standard.
