TheSnipeshow91
Bored. To Van M. Bowey T. Wilson To WSH Hansen Sutter Why? We get a young, highly touted RD prospect stuck behind the depth chart and a young, physical winger who can score, fits in our youth movement. WSH gets 2 amazing 3rd line players, fits the mold of a "win-now" team. Trade 2 To Van Pouliot 2016 ANA 2nd To Pit Edler Vrbata's rights Why? Again, we get a top notch LD prospect who's stuck behind a plethora of NHL Dmen and a pick. Pittsburgh gets a #3 dmen that can be a force on their top pair with letang. cripplereh
never ever happen and we have way to many signed to play to sign UFA's but saying that benning loves the draft and may make a deal or two if players are ones he likes and he can get a deal done!I really don't think we will sign more then one UFA! Hansen, sutter and edler would make an immediate impact. I agree I was being greedy when I proposed the Pit deal. I don't see why WSH wouldn't do that. There in a win now mode and Sutter+Hansen would be key players in a playoff run, just because they are soo versatile. Throw in a pick here or there and it could work. Yeah 7 goals a year Dorsett, Lucic, Virtanen, Wilson all on the same team we better have a damn good PK The Washington deal sucks for us Don't lie, lucic-Virtanen-Wilson-Dorsett on the same team would be fun to watch. It wouldn't matter if we lose every game as long as we get to see these guys absolutely crush everyone

Toews
We don't know what the cap is yet and those teams have already committed most of their cap for next year. Don't think either of those trades work due to the cap.

Don't over value pims. They are stats but they are stats that dont help the team. Sure fighting pumps everyone up. But when you are sitting in the box you are forcing you better players to kill pims. You need your best players acting like the scores they are. Not trying to kill a penalty. He is no better then Jake. Ans Jason Demers is not worth more money then Hamhuis. No Chance Washington trades Bowey Hanson is not a 'Win Now' Player

But hamhuis would sign for less because he's from BC. Why wouldn't you take a paycut to live with your family. 3. I didn't know you had inside info with the caps organization 4. Hansen is a win now player. Look what hagelin is doing with pittsburgh right now, Brouwer for STL, Killorn for TB. 3rd liners like Hansen and Sutter are the difference makers in the playoffs. Doesn't mean they are 1st line talent. But they're a fit with the sedins. We could experiment with wilson, see if he could gel with the sedins. I'm guessing you meant to say common sense? We don't know what washington values bowey at. But he isn't exactly setting the AHL on fire, so he can't be worth too much. I think I'm not the only one who thinks hansen is one of the best 3rd liners out there. It isn't just this year. Since 2010 11, he's been scoring at around a 0.4 ppg, which is really good for a 3rd liner. Had 4 points in 6 games in the playoffs last year, which isn't bad at all. Not to mention he's great on the PK, and he's really good on the forecheck. Plays with a lot of intensity with carrys over to his linemates. qwijibo
If Washington wants a utility forward that can play up and down the lineup they can just sign Dale Weise. No need to waste assets on Hansen

I am doing my best. 2015-16 20 of his 38 points one of the Sedins was in on it. Strange a 3ed line player is getting most of his points by Hank and Dank. Secondly, the point of my post was that Weise is UFA so a team doesn't need to trade assets to get him.

Hansen is on a good contract, and is a HUGELY superior player to Weise.
