Nessnuck27
http://ottawacitizen.com/sports/hockey/nhl/senatorsextra/patrick-wierciochs-price-tag-appears-too-high-for-senators Sounds like the sens don't want this guy anymore. I would love to have this guy as our number 5-6 Dman. 25 years old with some good size at 6'5 and offensive skills. What would it take to get him via trade or offer sheet?? ItsMillerTime
2/3 round pick for him you would think. He is still a top 4 man/
timberz21
Interested only if we can get Sbisa the other way in the deal. Otherwise, Elder, Hutton, Tryamkin, Sbisa and possibly Hamhuis as LHD...he seems redundant.

oldnews
Didn't have a great season but was bumped down the depth chart by Phaneuf. Was pretty solid in 14/15. A bit surprising that Ottawa would balk at qualifying him (2.7 million), considering they don't have that good of depth on their blueline - and Chabot is still a teenager. Looks like they'll be shopping for a cheaper depth option - but Wiercioch played pretty damn well for them in their playoff run the year before - had some injury struggles last year - but could make a nice pickup for someone. Ottawa's probably looking to add a pick in this draft for his rights and sign a FA.\ Prior to Tryamkin this may have been interesting to the Canucks - good mobility, good shot, not terribly gritty/physical, but a decent toolbox - but I think he'll wind up in Toronto for one of their gaggle of picks. Their 'analytics' guys will probably like his past showings - and their blueline right now is not NHL quality - it's too young with too many question marks that haven't proven themselves [good makings for another shameless tank season though]. GB5
I wonder how he compares to the other depth lefties in the Canucks system. i.e. Sbisa, Pedan, Tryamkin... If he projects a bit higher than these guys and isn't tendered an offer sheet and becomes a UFA he may be worth a look............ maybe one of the aforementioned players can be dangled in a trade. Lemmy
I believe Ottawa is trying to shed salary. This would make sending anyone back to them (Sbisa) difficult. I would like to see him added to the Canucks blue line but only if Hamhuis isn't re-signed.
