29 year old KHL player who finished the WHC with 18 points in 10 games winning the scoring race. He was well over point per game in the KHL and also point per game in the playoffs. Not surprising that everyone wants his signature.

So, do we know any more about this guy? Did he just fall trough the cracks for a decade or so? Was he just not interested in playing in the NHL?

Thing to note about Vadim Slippyfist (spl?) is that due to his age, he's not limited to term or salary like Panarin, Zaitsev, Tryamkin and others have been.

Does he sign with a top team where he has some connections maybe like Washington, Chicago, or does he go to a basement dweller that just throws a crap load of cash at him, Phoenix, NJ, Arizona?

Him and Panarin have some real good chemistry together, if Chicago thinks they have the inside edge on him I wonder if they try to ship Anisimov out, use his salary to sign Slippyfist and insert him as their #2 center between Panarin and Kane.

Edit: Yes, I realized I used the Coyotes twice...but they're just such a crappy team! :)

This actually makes a lot of sense. I don't see anyone giving him too big a contract. Sign a one year deal with Chicago. Put up a ton of points with Kane and Panarin then sign a big contract next summer.

The reason why more Russians are motivated on leaving is because of the ruble crash. I think before then there was little interest in coming to NA.

Sign with the Sharks. Really good team. Really good line mates. Make it to the playoffs for another 3 years guaranteed. Chicago is overrated because of the names there. Id want more of an opportunity. Play with a bad team or a team what has a hole missing in it and can be a playoff team.
