While we're not shopping him hard, those teams in need of goaltending help ought to consider reaching out to the Blackhawks to discuss Cam Ward.

Cam has had a revitalized, vezina-candidate year and the 17th highest scoring goalie in our league.

Only 32 years old, Cam is only a year older than Corey Crawford and 2 years older than Devan Dubnyk. With a value contract of $2.4 million, where would Cam's additional 129 points place your team in the standings right now?

On a more serious note, Tampa has a strong mix of veteran and young players.

Looking at the tough Eastern Conference playoff picture, we realize that getting into the playoffs, especially with an injured starter in Corey Crawford, might prove tough. Even tougher will be getting out of the Eastern Conference.

Tampa has 9 picks in the draft and some good playoff assets. We are not going to abandon our playoff hopes but we do have an eye on retooling our roster by injecting more talented youth into the lineup.

We are open for business and invite any GM's to look at our roster and inquire about players of interest.

...I hope this is the right thread now...

Unless Laine is coming back in return, Werenski is not for sale. Just want to draw that line, though I appreciate the offers and the amount of interaction in the league.

Cheers Boys!

The entire league is now scouring the free agent list for anyone else with the last name Laine to offer you haha

Wow WS.

Sorry to call you on this, but you sound an awful lot like.....the Canucks approach.  Trying to make the playoffs - and retooling?  I'm confused.  It sounds like you have no real direction.  Might be stuck in mediocrity there when you could just (sell me your best assets) and do a proper rebuild, not the half in, half out approach you seem to have adopted from the Canucks.

And using injury as an excuse?  That's not very accountable.  Every team deals with injuries - not just the Canucks  Lightning.

You're sounding like a modern day Clint Eastwood.  Keeps the condoms on the top shelf where Hazel Mae can't reach them.

Benning is my

mentor. He told me to say that if you promise everything and nothing people will be so confused they will just assume you know what the &^@# you are talking about.

Solid advice

League news:

- The Colorado Avalanche are looking for a new GM after @wallstreetamigo abandoned ship for the Tampa Bay Lightning

- Long-term extensions, get your long-term extensions here! I mean it, what are you waiting for? I'm free now to take your proposals, what's taking so long?

- The Commissioner team have written to @thejazz97's doctor. He's clearly not feeling well. Very few trades recently.

My doctor tells me I've been diagnosed with hypertradia and while it's only temporary, I need to slow down. However, we are looking to get the trade train back on the rails quite soon, albeit at a slower pace (as we're preparing for the expansion draft, and the upcoming playoff race).
