Let me get you caught up to speed:

- @pmalina destroyed us all last year

- @somethingvery loves trades more than life

- @thejazz97 loves trades more than somethingvery, and life

- @apollo has built a giant golden statue of his captain Luca Sbisa

- his rival @oldnews would love to see said statue crumble

- @Captain Azzy is grumpy that his former team in LA is winning without him

- I'm like the Benning of this league, always throwing in unnecessary picks

- Everyone here is a vulture

Tongue in cheek of course, well, some of it  :P

@Mr.DirtyDangles Here is your starter kit.

Welcome DD. Good to see you again bud!

As the (brief) former GM of Colorado I am happy to help you out until you get settled in to your new role. Feel free to pm me anytime.

All of these guys would eat their own young to steal assets for garbage so be careful lol.

To WSH: John Tavares, Sonny Milano, Connor Hurley

To NYR: Evgeni Malkin ($4M retained for 2016-17 & 2017-18 seasons)

This was not an easy trade to make. We picked Tavares with the #2 overall pick in the inaugural draft, as we believe he will be a consistent high end point producer and will be an Art Ross winner very soon. Milano was arguably our top prospect, so we expect him to be a pretty good player as soon as next year.

We're happy to bring in an elite talent on a contender in Malkin. The Metropolitan division is going to be a dogfight to get out of - getting immediate playoff help was seen as a must after last year's disappointing loss.

We thank @Jam126  for the negotiations and wish John, Sonny, and Connor all the best in Washington. We'd also like to thank every other GM who had discussions with us and appreciate their patience through this process.

Holy smokes that's blockbuster... wish we saw these deals in real life!

Was looking at my Crosby Hayes for DD and Cam deal... I think general consensus was that I won this trade at the time... Sid is out playing Drew but shockingly it's Cam Atkinson whose absolutely crushing it... wish I just did Sid for Drew straight up T_T

Also, Sbisa fight last night is the reason he's the Captain of our Predators.

Rumors are swirling out of Tampa Bay that the recent powerhouse moves by the Eastern Conference movers and shakers has GM wallstreetamigo considering all his options for how to build the Lightning into a future and sustainable contender.

Would WSA consider bold moves like trading injured but invaluable playoff starting goalie Corey Crawford? What will he do with other veteran playoff performers? Is there a fire sale set to happen in Tampa?

WSA gave a brief statement at the media scrum this morning.

"I am certainly not looking to fire sale valuable assets. This is a great group of vets and young players. Having said that, the East is a tough hill to climb right now and there is a lot of work to be done to get this roster competitive in the longer term. I will look at any deal and any scenario that will make this team younger, more skilled, and built for sustainable success. If that means trading current top players with an eye on next year and beyond, I will certainly look at doing so if it makes sense. This roster needs a bit more young elite level skill at the top end and I know I have the assets to make those deals happen. Trade talks have been steady but there is nothing imminent at this time."

We're tickled pink to have juggled our goaltending so well the last 3 weeks.

We gave pistol hot Tuukka Rask a day off tonight and still had Chad Johnson come up with a big 10 points.

Which has kept us close, managed to hold off Nail, even closing in on some of these ^^ other  %^&#@! Metropol teams...  :frantic:

We've also closed, from 150 points back a few weeks ago, to only 15 points off @inane and Florida for the division lead.

Ok lets be honest?  One item that has propped us up this year is that we have had two hot goaltenders.  Also & importantly because they were usually playing on alternate nights.

Tonight they're both playing and we've tipped Chad Johnson to start. Real life Boston out of town against a streaking Pittsburgh while Calgary is on a 6 game win streak is the calculation we have considered. These points are not make or break, but important and its a big call.

small.png  To ARZ: Joe Thornton ($2M retained), Jack Skille

small.png  To TBL: Matt Cullen, Ben Smith, Austin Czarnik, Ryan Gropp, Trevor Murphy, Marcus Sorensen

I want to first thank GM @thejazz97 for a quick, fair, and painless negotiation. He obviously looked at my team when making his offer and addressed several needs within the Tampa organization. It was nice that my first trade as Tampa GM went so smoothly.

It is with a heavy heart though that we say goodbye to Jumbo Joe. He has been a warrior and leader on our club and the decision to move him is a tough one considering his premier level value as a solid point producer and playoff threat. His departure leaves a huge hole at first line center but this move is also a show of our commitment to Bo Horvat to take the next step in his career.

We also wish Jack Skille the best with the Kings organization. He certainly did everything we asked and more to resurrect his career and is a solid energy guy who we feel still has some untapped potential. The Yotes are getting two high quality players and two great people. We wish them the best and wish Arizona good luck.

In return we pick up the ageless Matt Cullen who is still producing at a solid level defying Father Time. Austin Czarnik is a player we are very high on as well and are happy to get him. Ben Smith adds veteran depth to our organization as well.

While we take a hit at the NHL level, Tampa significantly shored up our forward prospect depth which we determined was weaker than we would like. Ryan Gropp, Marcus Sorensen, and Austin, along with D Trevor Murphy, add to our organizational depth and we look forward to their continued improvement going forward.

Thanks to Master Mind for the laser-quick response time and processing.

Tampa is looking to make more moves as we retool our team.
