Thanks to Beary for an intense and communicative negotiation process. This trade went through many iterations and a lot of back and forth and changes but ultimately we got something done that makes sense for both teams. It is tough to give up a guy like Chris. Steady like a rock on our top pairing, his value is underrated and he will be a fantastic fit on a Western powerhouse team like LA. His steady defensive presence will be sorely missed by our defensive unit. No, our defense coach did not throat punch me after he heard about this deal. But he wanted to and with good reason. We wish Chris and LA the best of luck. You have to give to get though and Antoine is a player we have had our eye on for awhile. He brings the grit and all around game that we want to be the culture of our team. A workhorse player who chips in with clutch offense, provides a physical presence, plays up and down the lineup, is durable, and isn't shy about dropping the mitts to right a wrong against a teammate. We are thrilled to bring him on board. Peter Cehlerik is a solid addition to our prospect pool. He is a solid young player that we think can make his way into our lineup very soon and make a difference. The forward group is getting a bit crowded in Tampa so decisions will need to be made and we are looking at several deals to trade a forward for another young defender. Thanks to MM for the quick process.

We needed to give to get and we got what we needed which is a right handed defenceman in Tanev who will log top pairing minutes for the Kings' organization. He will be a huge boost in our d corps as we compete for the Cup for many years to come. He is also very young and is just entering his prime so we are glad to have him aboard long term hopefully. If he puts points up, it's just icing on the cake. We thank Antoine and Peter for their great contributions to the team and wish them the best as they continue their young, promising and illustrious careers with @wallstreetamigo's Lightning. Good luck and hope that the trade works out for both teams
Kaner
I wanted to let everyone know that I be addressing all PM's tomorrow around 4 PST. I've been chasing time with 3 finals and 2 papers this week. Thanks, Swede
wallstreetamigo
Tampa Bay is taking offers on Richard Panik, Matt Cullen, and Mike Fisher. Given the potential playoff value of these players, we are looking for a young, preferably expansion protected dman as the key part of any trade for veteran playoff assets. Got a hit and 2 penalty minutes & we managed to sneak him in our line up as well. Think it was almost our only points last night... Matt becomes the 28th player to get game time with us on the Bruins this year. And the 30th (David Musil & Tristan Jarry have spent time with the big club, but not got into game action) to get a call up or suit up in the NHL. Also the 11th rookie to get blooded for us this year. Amazing! We received 5 reputation points for this. Thanks everyone! And Nail!! Except for the fact Carolina passed us today... This depth has done as well. But what is truly awesome is the fact Chicago has a full extra 105 man games played YTD. Which is why he is in first. M & M's 50 man games. Load up boys! maroe
The Edmonton Oilers are very excited to announce that Aladeen will join the organization as the Assistant General Manager. Our relationship goes back to when he was the GM of the Lightning and we saw somethingvery special in him (see what I did?). We instantly clicked with each other and we knew that we had to bring him over to Edmonton as soon as he resigned. The combination of his graceful abusiveness and expert knowledge is a perfect fit within our organization and we cannot wait to work with him. LET'S WELCOME THE EDMONTON OILER'S AGM, ALADEEN!!!! Aladeen
TMZ Sports Breaking news: The Assistant General Manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning has resigned his position claiming differences in views on the direction of the team. Rumours are swirling that his resignation is connected to the TBL's controversial new rule that no Assistant General Manager is allowed to be near female relatives of the Owners, Management, Players, Trainers, Janitorial and Concession staff. Of course Alberta's hotly debated new law that Assistant GM's shall now and forever have full access to all female relatives of staff and owners of companies, was passed into provincial law by a vote of 65 to 3 just this last year may have ultimately been the deciding factor for the highly coveted assistant GM. TMZ Sport's field reporter Dig Dirkkler was able to get a quote from AGM Aladeen: Quote You know I really thought things were gonna change in the US. When the President Elect told all of us with his poetic words to "Grab em by the P#ssy!" I believed that we would see a freer and greater America. Since the institution of this Draconian law in Tampa it feels as though my Constitutional Rights to grab em by the P#ssy are not being protected. That is why I have decided to take my talents to Alberta Beach.
