canuckledraggin
Cammalleri Zajac Parenteau Filppula Couturier Palmieri Pirri Hudler Vatrano Calvert Matthias Lewis McKegg Winnik Weise IR+ Huberdeau Kuhnhackl ---Gaudet Sgarbossa Vermin Beauchemin Seidenberg Braun McQuaid Goloubef Polak ---Englund Harpur Ness Witkowski Elliot Budaj Montoya With the recent addition of Parenteau to bolster scoring and the return of Vatrano, The Leafs are poised to make a 2nd half run at a playoff birth. It may be a case of too little too late, because the teams in the East have jumped out to what seems like an insurmountable lead, but if this team can stay healthy, they have the depth to put up plenty of points. The next 2 months will decide whether the Leafs are a seller or become a buyer. The trade deadline this season is poised to be the biggest in franchise history which ever way the standings shake out. 1st line winger Huberdeau remains on the injured reserve list, but he may be moved for the right price. --TML GM

Salter
It's not easy to say goodbye to Pavelski and Bobrovsky, but we believe with where we are at this season, the movement of those players for the shear amount of youthful talent and draft picks make it more than worth while. We can't wait to see what those players do for us next season. We wish both Sergei and Joe the best of luck this up coming season and the following few! As well, we believe Halverson will be a very talented goalie in the future but for now that package of picks couldn't be turned down. We wish him all the luck in the world as well! We spent a LOAD of futures - @Monty felt we overpaid by a fair margin - but we added the #1 and #7 point scorers in the league, both on playoff favourites. Considering we have been the top scoring team of the last 2 months, we felt this move takes us to another level, to not only challenge for a playoff spot, but possibly catch @Master Mind and @somethingvery for 1st overall, even after their latest additions. We didn't expect to be in the position to make a move like this for another year or two. But the rest of the team has come together so well, now is as good as time as any. And with young players like Scheifele, Jones, Hoffman, Orlov, Neiderreiter and Labanc on our roster - and top prospects like Kunin, Wood, Ho-Sang, and Larsson still in the system - we are still in a good position for the future as well. Thanks to @Salter for the fair negotiations. He drove a hard bargain, but in the end, both teams should come away better off. As for the Barrie offer sheet...time heals all wounds. Besides, he's suffered enough (by having a $6 million Barrie).

Excellent move to acquire these two high scoring, likely deep playoff bound players GM @D-Money and AGM @Monty. Had this trade have transacted from game 1, your net point gain season-to-date would have you up ~250 fpts and surpassing GM@Master Mind for second place in the league. All things remaining equal, this should be a very interesting race to the finish line and set the stage for a tightly fought playoffs!
