On behalf of General Manager @D-Money and his bi-lingual assistant @Monty, the Columbus Blue Jackets are pleased to announce the signing of:

small.png Daniel Brickley - 3 years, $875k AAV

While the college player list is rather light this year, Brickley leads the class for available defensemen. He was injured to begin the season, and many wondered whether or not he would be able to build on his finish to the previous season. Upon returning, however, he's managed 20 points in 18 games.

College is a far cry from the NHL, but a defenseman at any level putting up those numbers, along with a 6'3", 200lb+ frame will be highly sought after this off-season.

Here's hoping he doesn't sign in Arizona IRL.

As Las Vegas GM, he was one I was hoping to sign once I'm allowed to tender offers. Shame.

Also, I got away with calling you bi. 1-0 to me.

You know the asking price. Raymond, Ballard, and a first.

Tampa is listening to offers on playoff players Mike Fisher, Craig Smith, Matt Cullen, Derek Engelland, Richard Panik, and Curtis Lazar. Along with several other players. Our prospects and picks could be in play as well for the right players.

Goalie Corey Crawford is an interesting name being floated out there. The return would have to be significant and would likely need to include a younger starting goalie to work but I am open to discussions.

Yea, I know I will wait for the comments about me selling every player lol.

Tampa is looking for younger players and prospects who can have an impact this season or next season as we retool our roster. Picks are always welcome too.

The Chicago Blackhawks are extremely happy to...come'ere...come'ERE boy...drop it...I said DROP it.....

...happy to welcome Jay "Big Dawg" Beagle to the Pound!  This unsung player has had a breakout season and even buried his bone with an overtime winner his first game with us!

We thank GM@LilBurrows for the swift trade talks as he is mass-collecting futures for his team's rebuild, thank Commish @Master Mind getting our new puppy to us so quickly, and don't thank that pussycat lover GM @Canuck Surfer for his disdain of our new player <_<.

Now there we go!  Enthusiasm of the pup, leading the owner by the chain.  :towel:

But credit, where credit is due.  Grabbing an unsung performer from a top team is clever work.  Cheers!

On behalf of General Manager @Canuck Surfer, the Boston Bruins are delighted to announce the re-signing of:

small.png Alexander Radulov - 3 years, $5.8m AAV

Many thanks and our respect to agent Captain Azzy.

And welcome Alexander for the balance of this and the next 3 years. One of the worlds most talented players, routinely like a dog on the puck!

Nice article & some clips here;  http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/alexander-radulov-emerging-unexpected-leader-canadiens/

small.png  To CHI: Matt Dumba, Joe Thornton, Dante Fabbro

small.png  To ARZ: Phillip Danault, Drew Doughty

This was a tough trade, and this is the time of the year when those hard decisions have to be made.

Reigning Norris trophy winner Doughty is an excellent RL player, and is solid in fantasy. But, with a $7 million salary for mid 4 fpts/g production on a playoff bubble team, the Blackhawks viewed Dumba as an even-or-better swap, as he's 5 years younger, half the cost, scoring only <1 fpts/g less, and playing for the Western Conference's best team.

Fabbro is a blue chip defenseman that tipped the scales for this trade to occur, and although we are pleased with Danault's breakout this year, he isn't expansion exempt and is playing for a downward-trending Montreal squad.

Big Joe was acquired simply for his beard alone (....okay,  also because he's playing for a hot San Jose team and has a ton left in the tank).

The Blackhawks wish Drew and Phillip all the best with their new team, and thank our longtime trading partner @thejazz97 for this deal, and Commish @Master Mind for the quick processing.

My first thought was that Chicago won this trade going away.

But then I looked at it, and it's pretty fair. Thornton is an impending UFA, and Danault actually produces more Fpts, for a fraction of the cap hit, on one of the top teams in the league. And as much as everyone is falling over themselves for the Wild lately, would anyone be surprised if Quick came back, L.A met Minny in the playoffs, and the Kings won? I think Drew's production will go up when he doesn't have to cover for AHL goaltending anymore.

In the long run, how Fabbro turns out will determine who won the trade.

To SJS: Jaromir Jagr + 2018 5th round pick

To NYR: Jason Pominville

Thanks to @pmalina for the negotiations, and to @somethingvery for processing. He had actually suggested this to me about a month ago, but I didn't have the cap space at the time. See @Captain Azzy, the Allen trade has done some good for me

We wish Jaromir all the best on the defending champs. It was great to have him a part of the team - he was a great mentor to some of our young players like Granlund, Pearson, and Dowd. And best of all, he recorded history that will likely never be surpassed.

Happy to bring in Pominville, and I'm definitely banking on the Wild this year having him, Granlund, Brodin, and Folin. They better not lose to the Kings 1st round like @D-Money projects, but if it does, at least I have a couple Kings on the team...
