D-Money
Zach Redmond available for a late pick. It's strange...he was playing really well since returning from injury (16GP, 5A, +6). He'll probably get called up again, likely in the playoffs. And he's signed for another year (both in Puck and IRL).
wallstreetamigo
Tampa is taking offers on the following playoff quality players. F Mike Fisher - a blend of scoring and hitting has vaulted Fisher to 22nd among regular league centers with 4.7 fppg. Which matches his 4.62 ppg average in the playoffs last year. Remarkably durable and consistent. D Derek Engelland - He is 44th in fantasy points for dmen right now thanks to his high level hitting and blocking. He wasn't in the playoffs last year but the year before he was 4.43 fppg in the playoffs where hitters/shot blockers come into their own. F Jannik Hansen - struggled through some injuries this year but is set to return to ride shotgun with the Sedins and has been both consistent and productive for several years. Last time Van was in the playoffs he was close to 4 fppg average in a disappointing team result. Tampa is always willing to consider reasonable offers for any player not named Horvat or Ekblad but the goal is to get younger and loaded up for next season. We do have some cap room available and are willing to look at future consideration type deals to help teams wanting to load up this season. Only if the return makes sense for our future though. I want to thank Buffalo GM HV for a quick and fair negotiation process. This was a difficult trade to make but one that I think makes sense and gives good value for both teams. It's never easy to give up a 1st round pick but in consulting with our amateur scouting department we felt that it made a lot of sense to trade down. With us holding two first rounders and a second in this years draft, we felt that swapping the later 1st rounder for an early/mid 2nd would still allow us to draft a quality player in that spot while significantly adding to our goaltending depth. One area of weakness for us this year has been our goaltending depth. With the unfortunate long term injury to Eddie Lack and a period of time with Crawford on the shelf, we saw other teams move up on us. Mason provides a good insurance policy that gives us a wider range of options with our goaltending situation. We are hoping he can recreate his hot second half from last year. Tampa was pretty close to the 50 player limit and cleared a few minor league spots by moving a few vets the other way. We also added a solid depth/minor league defender in Marchenko. We know he will get another opportunity in the NHL. Ben Smith was a serviceable depth player for us but simply became a victim of the numbers game at forward where we had many options so swapping him for a defender helps better balance our depth. We want to thank Eddie, Ben, Gregory, Daniel, and Craig for their service and contributions. We wish them all the best with their new organization. And we excitedly welcome Steve and Alexey to the Lightning organization.

You are still within 100 points of Toronto and only 250 behind me. A few good nights vs bad ones for us erases deficits pretty fast. There is still a fair amount of time to make up ground I think.
