LEAGUE REMINDER

GMs are reminded that any team that signs a player to a long-term contract extension, and then trades said player shortly afterwards, will see the impact of that in all of their contract negotiations for some time after the trade. When a player is told that he is a key part of the team for years to come, and signs in good faith, GMs should not be looking to flip them once under contract without being aware of the potential consequences with other negotiations and contract extensions.

D seems to be a hot commodity around here. CBJ's blueline is currently:

Jeff Petry - Seth Jones

Ian Cole - Dmitry Orlov

Trevor Daley - Matthias Ekholm

Brendan Dhillon

Although we're quite happy with the way things currently are, we would be open to offers for one of them including a coveted young(ish) playoff forward. We also have some cap room to work with. PM me and @Monty if you have a fit.

No need to make a deal on my account...you keep your 7 top 4 NHL D and I'll see you at the expansion draft table

On behalf of General Manager @Blue Jay 22, the Dallas Stars are pleased to announce the re-signing of:

Viktor Arvidsson - 2 years, $3.25m AAV

Happy to get this young and emerging player locked down for the next couple of years. Viktor has gone from a rookie enigma to an all around, multi purpose Top 6 winger for the Predators this year. With 40pts on the year, 5 short handed points, and a hat trick to boot, Viktor's fantasy production currently sits at an incredible 4.23FP/game clip. Safe to say that this pay boost for him was more than earned.

Thanks to agents CA and MM for the negotiations and reaching a deal that will see Viktor represent our team for these next few years.

It would take a very good offer involving a quality playoff forward to convince us to move any of our top-6.

However, for Brendan Dhillon, we'd be willing to listen to other ideas, including a pick/prospect-type return. He's been producing 2.87 Fpts/game in his last 25 games, plays on a contender, and is locked up to an affordable contract through 2020. Ideally, we'd like to add a solid waiver-ineligible call-up player on a playoff team.

To those considering a play off power play this deadline? Come one, come all!

Anaheim is considering offers on former league MVP Corey Perry?  Who plays on a team considered by most as expected to reach the conference finals, or deeper. Return expected is a strong young player and prospect, with either a cap dump or salary retention to be a consideration.

Teams not posturing for play-off's; Jordan Martinook is an excellent young depth forward who could advance a teams rebuild & be with you for years!

Just to give some people an updated look at the Canucks trading block!

-Patrice Bergeron (201 Fpts) Im looking for a similar type player, but one on a for sure playoff team.

-Anze Kopitar (191.5 Fpts) Same deal as Bergeron, but also looking to clear some cap. Can take a couple guys to make cap work

-Frans Nielsen (156 Fpts) And again, same deal, looking for someone more in the playoffs type player. Would also take a D and depth F

-Alex Steen (205 Fpts) We would like to test the field with him, Maybe bring in a package of players. Looking for younger

-Trevor Van Riemsdyk (88.25 Fpts) Hasnt played much this year, has shown brilliance flashes. We belive he is good, but looking for a now producer, Can add pick/Prospect to get another more productive Dman

-Any Prospect not named BOWEY, SOKOLOV, or SVEDBERG :P

-Any Picks!

Though these players are on the block I may not trade them all. I do like them, and I know some like Bergeron and Kopitar have more to give! But thought I would update the good old block! :)

Attention all GMs:

As the TDL gets closer, I suspect there will be a high volume of trades. So to save me some time, please send me trades in the same format as

To CAR: Jarome Iginla, 2017 5th (CHI)

To CGY: Jay Bouwmeester, 2017 1st (CAR)

It's not a big deal when it's just one or two trades, but if I have more, the time taken to change it adds up.

Thanks :)

Can we pin this somewhere on the first page? Maybe it can become a standard of sorts.

Rumour has it that the Washington Capitals have made another couple moves in an effort to help jumpstart the rebuild. We hope to make a couple more moves yet prior to the deadline so we can start to focus more on the expansion draft and free agency.

Good Evening Sportsfans!!! Can anyone briefly tell me how Vegas will factor into the 2017 draft (not expansion), both for the NHL and CDC Puck? Cheers.

They get lottery odds equivalent to the 3rd worst team I believe.

in other words, bettman is making sure they get 1st overall lol
