Thanks @Master Mind

Chicago appreciates the negotiations with GM@Tigs and we think we mutually benefited from this balancing of player/prospects.

We have high regard for Julius and expect him to thrive in a Washington uniform; unfortunately our prospects scale was tipped too far over to defensemen and we felt the need to re-center the disparity. JT has been a solid trooper for us and we know he will contribute well to the Capitals rebuild.

In Riley and Sonny, not only do we get two prospects whose first names both end in the letter 'y', we also get two high pedigree forward prospects who remain steadily on their path to the NHL. Mr. Tufte is a 6'5" power-forward that seems to start slow but finish well in his seasons, and we consider him a simmering project worth waiting for a couple of years.

Mr. Milano hasnt show elite scoring in the AHL but is counted on as a scoring two-way forward that will fit the mold looked for with RL Columbus.

Also just a heads up from me, from mid March until the start of June I will be at Basic Training for the military so I wont be able to post or message anybody! I'll be back in time for the draft as long as it is June 10th or later!

After another couple deals, the Washington Capitals are much more comfortable going into the trade deadline.

First, we acquired a young stud of a defenseman in Julius Honka as well as a great role player in JT Brown. Although this came at the cost of two young forwards who will likely be a part of the NHL in some way, shape or form down the road we felt the need to increase our defensive pool, and this was a great trade way to do just that.

Secondly, we were able to make a deal involving Robin Lehner and Jamie Oleksiak. While some may question why we would give up Michael Dal Colle and our 2nd this year, the simple fact is that our goaltending was just not enough. Receiving Lehner fixes this problem long term in my mind. We were also happy to free up some cap space by moving Kyle Quincey and gain a great depth player in Mr. Dangles himself - Jamie Oleksiak.

A big thanks to @Drive-By Body Pierce and @somethingvery for their time during the negotiation period and or tireless trade tracker @Master Mind for processing both moves.

Please keep in mind the Capitals are still open for business, and if you see something you feel might work for both our teams, feel free to shoot me a PM!

Good Evening Sportsfans!!! Can anyone briefly tell me how Vegas will factor into the 2017 draft (not expansion), both for the NHL and CDC Puck? Cheers.

I've decided that Vegas will get picks 1-3 in the draft.
