Although in comparison to the Tarasenko trade this deal was a minor one. We are very pleased to bring in another great D prospect in Jake Bean. Although we had to give up a good forward prospect in Blake Coleman, there is something to be said for good defensive depth in this league. Jake has had a stellar year so far  with 32 points in 29 games on a team that's not doing so well in the Calgary Hitmen. We are also pleased to welcome Josh Gorges to the team, and feel he can fill Kevin Bieksa's role with ease.

While the Capitals may make a move or two prior to the deadline yet, we are pretty happy with where we sit.

Just want to let everyone know, that beginning Thursday night I will be hard to reach as I am pretty booked up from then right until Tuesday. With that being said I would like to get most deals done before Thursday if I can. So if anyone has any inquiries, today and tomorrow would be the times to get talking.

Thanks

last evening our beloved dog attacked our beloved kids out of nowhere when they sat on the sofa .

our 10 years old son was hurt in the face and the 14 years old was hurt on the left arm. :(

both are okay though. our dog was brought to a animal shelter by the police and will never return to our home :(

now we have to work things out .... psychically and physically. it wil ltake some days

On behalf of General Manager @wallstreetamigo, the Tampa Bay Lightning are pleased to announce the re-signing of:

Tom Pyatt - 3 years, $900k AAV

Thank you to Captain for his tireless work on this signing and just for the league in general.

We are thrilled to give Tom a much deserved raise and some job security with term. Tom is a productive and tireless worker, a consummate professional, and a guy who can play any forward position and slots in wherever he is needed. He is a leader by example and we are thrilled to keep him in Tampa.

What a hole in your heart.

Bless the dog you knew, not the one you lost.  A hug for your kids and you! A hundred more when they are needed again.

Stephen Johns is available.

3.65 fppg, .950k for another year, RFA.

Beast in the making in the Puck scoring structure.

A few weeks ago you intimated publically you would not trade him for 5 first round draft picks?  William Nylander anyways...

Lets see if you get a 20 year old expansion safe rookie, on his way to well over 50 points. For a potential play off team?
