I feel as though if this trade was voted on league wide that it wouldn't pass. just a thought.

I'm choked because players I wanted are in that mix. But, the deal looks more legit than a great number of real life NHL deals, let alone fantasy league deals. I am sincerely interested in knowing, what exactly is your beef with this trade? I certainly would NOT vote in favour of vetoing this trade.

small.png  To MIN: Brandon Montour, Olli Maatta

small.png  To CHI: Niklas Hjalmarsson (50% retained until end of 2017/18), Charles McAvoy, Dennis Cholowski, Anton Slepyshev

First off, hats off to GM @gmen81 for his brilliant negotiations that lead to his acquisition of Brandon and Olli, two players who have garnered heavy trade interest all year long. It is heartbreaking to see these two excellent young foundational players leave the Blackhawks, and we wish them all the best with their new team which is amounting to be a formidable foe as early as....now.

There are lots of factors in this trade, which took into account playoff bound players on specific teams, future high end prospects, cap, expansion, core structure...in all honesty it was one of the more difficult and complex trades I think I've done, with the least amount of absolute confidence that I did right by my team.

Chicago welcomes steady Niklas to pair with RL teammate Duncan, Anton as a skilled forward who will compliment our bottom six, and are excited to plug in Charles and Dennis into our highly competitive development system.

Thank you Commish @Master Mind for your ever reliable work for us.

If Forbort is a 'stud', Ben Hutton is Bobby Orr and Nikita Tryamkin is Thor.

Drafted 15th overall NDU grad who was a huge part of the Calder cup winning Monarchs. His1st full season in the NHL this year he's a + player averaging 20 minutes/ game. What a loser. And Tryamkin will pull out his mighty hammer one day you'll see.

Forbort's a slightly above average bottom pair D, but you'd think he was Scott Niedermayer from that description.

Gimme Luca Sbisa anytime.

There's a lot of guys who are great for fpts but terrible in real life. Forbort's not terrible, and he's a really solid defender on the third line (a la Luke Schenn), but he's not some golden god.

I like how discussion over the trade Chicago lost has evolved into a Forbort debate :P

My two cents are I'd love to have @inane's rookie, can never have too many defensemen!

Captain said that Cholowski could become the next Forbort as if that was some sort of slight to the player, I called Forbort a stud defenseman and hilarity ensued.

The Vancouver Canucks would like to move these players 100% before next year's deadline!

Frans Nielsen - Would like another F coming back in the deal who is on a playoff team

Andrej Sustr - Want to gain another Dman who is also on a playoff team. Will also consider Dmen who are producing really well on non playoff teams.

Thomas Greiss - Would like to obtain a Forward back who is producing between 2-3 Fpts/G. Greiss is starter in this league now and isn't on a horrible islanders teaM.  Can do wonders for a teaM lacking goaltending. Would also consider multuple pieces, but want someone who can half match his Fpts/G

Eric Fehr - Good playoff player, would want either an improved playoff player back (will add from my end) or a good up and coming young guy!

Andrew Desjardins - Again want someone of an upgrade to Andrew

Can add to any one of these guys to get a better player! Want all thsee guys gone before next Wednesday!

On behalf of General Manager @wallstreetamigo, the Tampa Bay Lightning are proud to announce the signing of:

Josh Archibald - 3 years, $1.2m AAV

Josh thanks all those interested parties, and is excited to start his career with the Lightning.

For the record I pick up Forbort in my hockey pool my friends earlier in the year and he's been good for me(hits, blocks)

The difficulty here is that anyone could call Forbort a stud. At that age you're past the 'stud' age, and even if he wasn't, it only applies to blue-chip D like Doughty, Pietrangelo, Weber, Burns, Subban - not bottom pairing D.

Forbort's a solid D, nothing more. The closest he comes to a stud is when we're hanging out together

I actually like players who can hit and block a lot.

It's why I liked Ritchie, and why I was okay with trading a package with the main piece of John Klingberg for a package with the main piece of Dan Girardi.

Granted, I've got none of the players that came back to me in that deal, but the only reason I took that was because Girardi hits and blocks and a player that hits and blocks won't have as much risk of losing consistency as someone who scores.

Tampa is thrilled to get Josh under contract. While we certainly had to be aggressive, we feel that he is a great fit in our organization. He is a tenacious type player with good speed and good hands who we believe will be a great addition to our lineup in the future. His hot start in the NHL notwithstanding, we see a great fit in the future.

Thanks to @Captain Azzy
