Want to thank @Captain Azzy for taking the time to put up with the new guy. We are happy negotiations went smoothly with thsee players. Gaunce and Rowe have done well as fill in a for injured players in the Penguins system. Chaput has shown that he can stick with the big club in Vancouver. Mazanec is a solid AHL goalie who will get his shot soon we feel. Pogge, we have heard rumblings that he is looking to make an nhl return next year as he has been doing great overseas! We hope that ends up being the case!

On behalf of new General Manager @Tigs, the Washington Capitals are pleased to announce the re-signings of:

Stephen Gionta - 2 years, $800k AAV

Peter Holland - 1 year, $750k

Nick Jensen - 2 years, $1.2m AAV

Anthony Bitetto - 2 years, $750k AAV

Robin Lehner - 4 years, $4.5m AAV

Ales Hemsky - 1 year, $3m

And the signings of:

JC Beaudin - 3 years, $850k AAV

Alexander Kerfoot - 3 years, $975k AAV

Very pleased to get a lot of our team locked up - we signed quite a few depth players which we were very much needing, as well as our long term Goaltender in Robin Lehner. We were also able to sign two great prospects in JC and Alex.

JC Beaudin has been a solid contributor to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, and was a big part of their QMJHL championship last year putting up 19 points in 17 playoff games. He currently has 70 points in 54 games. We look forward to him competing in camp for a roster spot with the Colorado Avalanche.

As the Captain of the Harvard Crimson, Alexander Kerfoot has put up 33 Points in 27 Games and has played a big part in Harvard's 20-5-2 Season, which currently has the Crimson sitting at 3rd in NCAA team standings. The team also just recently won their first Beanpot since 1993, which is a major accomplishment for them. We are very excited to have Alex sign with us, and hope he can find a good fit in the NHL!

The LA Kings organization  would like to thank @Phil The Thrill for smooth negotiations though he drove a hard bargain and @Master Mind for processing the trade fairly quick. We are excited to welcome an underrated superstar who doesn't get as much attention as the big superstars like Kane, Tarasenko, etc in Hornquist as he fills a void that was left by both Zuccarello and Nyquist after trading them. The Pens also look poised to repeat so we are glad to have one of main players they have who play with either Malkin or Crosby in their lineup. We are also excited to welcome Zach as adding more depth for a playoff run will never hurt.

We had to give a lot of the future in Ho-Sang and 3 high draft picks but the team was in a stage where we wanted to win now and we believe this move makes us a top 5 team in the entire league again. We would like to thank Craig, Joshua for their contributions to LA and wish them all the best in Philly.

Would like to thank @Beary Sweet for the negotiations. We were approached with this offer for Patric who has been highly productive as our top line RW. With a competitive group in the Metro division and  given Patric's current value we felt it was the right time to make this trade. Very excited about the futures received in this deal. Craig and Joshua will fit right in. Best of luck to Patric and Zach in their quest for a cup in LA

small.png  To PIT: Taylor Chorney

small.png  To SJS: 2018 3rd

Thank you Commissioner @Master Mind for processing this trade and to GM @pmalina for the negotiations. GM Pmalina drove a hard bargain but we felt that a 3rd round pick in 2018 was a reasonable risk to take. Chorney hasn't played much this year but with inevitable injuries that occur, we hope that he can sneak in some games from now till the playoffs. We're also poised to lose some depth going into the expansion draft and hopefully Chorney can help with that next season.

Pittsburgh has been pretty quiet thus far and definitely been overshadowed by some of the moves that others have made. We've been in negotiations with a ton of teams but there haven't been any deals that I felt would strengthen my team for the playoffs. With a few of my key players on bubble teams that are competing against each other for a playoff spot, it's hard for me to decide whether or not to go all in this year. Feel free to keep sending in offers though. I'd definitely like to make some moves but don't feel pressured either way, pretty happy with the way my team is shaping up over the next 2-3 seasons.

Also, I guess the real life Patrick Eaves to Anaheim trade is like adding a key playoff player anyways? Glad that Eaves resigned with Pittsburgh last season. Big fan of his and I'm happy that he has a chance to join a legitimate cup contender.

Columbus is actively shopping some depth players and prospects. Seeking a mid-to-late pick for the following:

Garret Sparks - Garret has responded to his earlier suspension (due to sticking up for a mentally disabled person online...so ridiculous) by putting up some of the best stats in the AHL. Is making a case to be considered as the back-up next season.

Conner Bleackley - The former 1st rounder has struggled with injuries previously, but has found new life as a defensive center in the Blues organization. Is having a decent rookie pro season.

Willing to package these two for a single late pick:

Derek Ryan - Cheap depth Hurricanes forward ($700K) averaging 2.38 Fpts/game.

Austin Carroll - Flames prospect who hits, fights, and has proven to be defensively responsible. Scored a lot in the WHL. Has often been compared to Michael Ferland.

Anyone willing to take on Jimmy Howard? Feel free to send Nashville offers - asking price won't be high.

He's not a bad goalie but has had some rough injury luck. Could be Vegas bound in real life as well.

Just not in CDCP...
