Beary Sweet
Quick returns to man the cage for the Kings and he's been stellar. To top that off, Toffoli scores a pair just minutes separating each other. Incredible how much impact assistant captain for my fantasy team Quick can make to the whole team. Great day for the Kings organization!

wallstreetamigo
A solid performance tonight by Mike Fisher with a game winning goal, a fight, and 4 hits. Also a good first showing for my trio of new San Jose players, Karlsson, Dillon, and Schlemko. Horvat and Hansen had a lot of solid chances but couldn't find the back of the net. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into the team, from the first GM to his successor. Sorry to everyone I may have been ignoring and for my inactivity. wallstreetamigo
Tampa GM wallstreetamigo has reportedly decided that he will listen to offers on all playoff bound and potentially playoff bound players. "At this time of year you have to take a realistic look at your chances for being Cup competitive. The East is very strong and improving with each passing trade. We are very happy heading into the playoffs with our group but are also tempering those expectations. The focus is squarely on next year." WSA was quick to throw cold water on the fire sale sign being put out on the lawn. "No not at all. We do not need to sell. The team we have is one we would be very comfortable heading into the summer with irregardless of playoff success this year. We have added organizational depth at all positions and have turned over a very large amount of players already since taking over. Having said that, if teams are looking to load up this year and we can get back younger comparable players (on playoff or non playoff teams) that will make us better next year, then we are very interested in exploring those discussions. If we can get good picks or prospects to add to our organizational depth then we need to consider that as well. If a deal makes us better going forward we will do it. WSA would not provide a list of names but it has been widely speculated that anyone could be moved for the right return. "I am not going to speculate on who I have received calls on or who I would or would not consider moving. That is a private discussion to be had with my counterpart GM's if they are interested. I hesitate to call any player untouchable although some will take an offer I simply can't refuse in the best interests of the team. The situation is very much dependent on the market so if the returns are not there, I am content to stand pat. This group is strong enough to be a playoff dark horse and we are solidly in a playoff position. That means that if other teams are serious about making a deal they need to send serious and strong offers. We have several great players that could put an elite team over the top in the playoffs and we are well aware of that fact. They could help us in the playoffs too which complicates matters." When asked about the possibility of losing a good player in the expansion draft, WSA was clear about his approach. "We obviously will do all we can to minimize the impact there, but to be honest it is not a huge consideration in terms of our day to day decisions regarding building the team. We are going to lose a player we do not want to lose no matter what we do. Our goal is to make sure we have the organizational depth to absorb that loss. With young protected players like Peter (Cehlarik) and Austin (Czarnik) already showing they can play in the NHL and prospects like Gaudette, Hronek, Harkins, Mangiapane, among others in the pipeline, we feel that we will weather that storm. Vegas will get a good player from us but they only get to take one and we will make it as hard on them as we can. We will be fine organizationally though." Tampa is said to be looking for a younger top 6 center and a younger top 4 defenseman as well as prospect depth at all positions and picks. "If I can add a long term solution at center and in our top 4 d then that will put us in a good position. Organizational depth in the form of good prospects and picks are also something we are always looking for as well." Updated Lightning Roster Zucker-Horvat-Panik Nyquist-Fisher-Gallagher Roussel-Lowry-Hansen Moulson-Karlsson-Pyatt Lazar, Grigorenko, Cehlarik Engelland-Ekblad Manning-Faulk Dillon-Schlemko Pateryn, Bartkowski, Marchenko Crawford Mason

canuckledraggin
A change of fortunes in Leafs land. Budaj got a new deal and becomes a backup in TBay instead of the backup to Quick. Quick and Bishop on the same team? Why? Budaj is the undisputed champ of free agent signings this season. 324 points from a free agent that was playing in Ontario, California was possibly the best deal in my CDCPuck career. Hanzal just made the Wild the cup favorites IMO. That team is so stacked is makes me shake my head. I've had several offers on him since and I will continue to take offers just in case there's one I can't refuse. I still have Calvert, Pirri, Montoya and Winnik for sale. Don't forget the margin of victory last season. It's going to come down to a few points either way. Don't miss out on trying to acquire your favorite teams' players. With Tampa calling it IRL, it's only a matter of time before Boyle is dealt. And now with Hanzal off the market, he is probably the top defensive C out there, so he is likely going to a contender by Wednesday. Especially with his affordable salary. [However, @Master Mind, Boyle is still showing at his full cap hit on our roster ($2 mil).]
