Well done to both @Stamkos & @D-Money. Helps Ottawa win now & Columbus win later.  Luke Kumin will be a great player for years to come. Although, I have to give the edge to Ottawa in this trade in acquiring two-time Norris winner Karlsson.

So shattered over this I had to change my sig and take out the Dragon Slayer ;(

Glad to see him go to a Canadian team. Wouldn't be right to see a legend and arguable the most clutch human of all time play for the sorry franchise pigs like Shanahan, Chelios, Hull, Yzerman, and co played for. Yea I'm still butt hurt over 2002. Detroit peaked when Bertuzzi left! Cloutier RULES!

(in real life detroit I'm bashing, no offense to your fantasy Red Wings! @Salter :P )

Hey man... who said you're allowed to improve your team after we swapped firsts in the McCann deal lol?! Did not expect that... Gonna be cringing when Loui pops in 80 points this year with the Twins. Hoping Miller takes 65 games over Marky and wins the vezina, that would be nice.

Actually I'd be equally as happy if Marky won the vezina and I got the 30th overall pick in the draft. Hell give Hutton 100 points too... just wana see us do well this year :D

To be fair, I wasn't expecting to acquire Gaudreau and Palmieri or perhaps even Eriksson when we made the deal...

Fixed it. I was going to say that it was based off of fppg, but if I did that, Colin Greening would be my 2C... :P

Detroit Redwings Opening Night Roster

Matt Beleskey  -  Brandon Sutter  -  Joe Pavelski

Hunter Shinkaruk  -  Mike Fisher -  Brian Gionta

Markus Granlund  -  Luke Glendening  -  Matt Martin

Zac Rinaldo  -  Chris Wagner  -  Brad Richardson

Connor Brown

Tyson Barrie  -  Victor Headman

Brayden McNabb  -  Dmitry Kulikov

Brooks Orpik  -  Erik Gustafsson

Ladislav Smid , ___________

Sergei Bobrovsky

Eddie Lack

The summer has brought lots of changes to our organization. Our forward group has a few differences throughout the lineup, while Brayden McNabb is the only remaining defenseman from last year. We are confident the Barrie and Headman will be good replacements for Weber and Seabrook. Change is good, and we believe that our retooled, youthful team will be able to compete for many years to come. We have went from an aging team with no future, to a young team with more youthful pieces coming up the pipeline. Best of luck to all GMs this year, but we would like to say right now that we will not stop until the Stanley Cup is ours. Last season we came so close, we tasted blood... and we want more.

A note to all GM's: every team must be under the salary cap by the time the season begins without using IR.

I've seen a number of teams that are under the cap because of this, so make sure to correct this if it affects you.

Any exceptions for Stephane Robidas? :P

The Habs will not make any  moves untill the Season has started . At first we want to get a look at our Team for some Weeks and if there are any Positions we need to improve , we ll start SERIOUS Negotations again.

As for Fantrax ...we stil have a Salary Penalty for Jared Boll on our books even he´s back on the active Roster.

Thanks and regards Bomba HABS GM

Columbus thanks @Stamkos for the smooth negotiations.

It wasn't easy trading the highest producing player in the league last year, but we feel this deal fills out our roster. Plus it created some needed cap space, and adds a fantastic prospect for the future. But the deciding factor was the real-life teams - we think Philly and Winnipeg are on the verge of being playoff contenders in the NHL, and expect this deal to provide more playoff points going forward.

We wish Erik all the best, and thank him for his excellent play and leadership. Also, although he never played a game for us, we wish Dennis well, and expect he'll have a very good contract year. He is only 1 season removed from putting up 5.39 fpts/game, so getting back above 4 is certainly not out of the question for him.

And most of all, we welcome Wayne Simmonds, Tyler Myers, and Luke Kunin to the organization. Simmonds is an absolute beast pool-points wise, and historically puts up nearly as many pool points as Karlsson. Myers is still young, and is locked up for a few more years, providing us some stability to our blueline.

After finishing 29th overall in 2015-16, Jacket's management team set out to overhaul the roster without sacrificing the future. As of now, here's what we have:

Hoffman - Scheifele (A) - Okposo

Chimera - Backlund - Simmonds

Nolan - Janmark - Doan (C)

McGinn - Nestrasil - Neiderreiter

Sobotka? Lemieux

Daley - Myers

Orlov - Bieksa (A)

Gardiner - Redmond

Schneider

Sparks

And for the future, we have an impressive crop of youngsters coming up, including:

C - Ho-Sang, Kunin, Saarela, Musil

LW - Nylander, Tolchinsky, Labanc, Dzierkals, Kuokkanen, Hargrove

RW - Merkley, Downing, Anderson

D - Larsson, Guhle, Wood, Bergman, Mete

G - Samsonov, Hill, Kahkonen

Plus, we have 3 picks in each of the first two rounds of the 2017 draft. If things start off well for us in 2016-17, and we look ready to make an impact in the playoffs this season, then we may be in the market to flip some of our futures for young players ready to contribute now.

The Nashville Predators have multiple question marks heading into the Season with many roster spots up for grabs and an assistant captain vacancy. This season is now globally being hailed as the Vintage Sedinery Road To 1000 Season rather than the 2016/17 season. As the two greatest athletes in the history of sports & entertainment have their sights set on reaching 1000 points even though they have been unfairly hindered by the league all their career.
(Anyways back to Nashville lol)

Captain Luca Sbisa will have to carry the load as GM Apollo has miserably failed to find him some help on the back end.

As of now, the opening night roster sits at

Vanek - Bonino (A) - Johnson
Kulemin - Crosby - Hayes
Ott - Krejci - Williams
Malone - Sceviour - Clutterbuck
**Ott and Malone will have to land a permanent spot on Detroit & Washingtons Rosters. Youngster Jared McCann and Thomas Jurco may be poised to steal their spots should they fail. Perhaps veteran Radim Vrbata can make a splash? Or even dark house Jayson Megna who signed with the Canucks?

Sbisa (C) - Staal

Rielly - Miller
Slavin - ???
***Hozler, Butler, Bartkowski and Weber will fill out bottom 6 and spare roles. None with permanent roster spots as of yet, Nashville will have to hope for the best or risk having the worst defense in CDC Puck History (minus their Captain)

Howard & Hammond tandem will stay in tact. However, as we're well aware... Cory Schneider could have a panic attack at any time and Kinkaid could come to the rescue and steal a spot from either tender.

I regret to announce my resignation as GM of the Minnesota Wild. I will always be thankful for Drew giving me an opportunity as a new GM on CDC to be a part of this league, and I learned a lot.

However, my role with the RGMG leagues has completely consumed my time I can devote to fantasy hockey.

Thank you all for an enjoyable first season.
