Oh man, if you think that was slamming then you need to step away from the computer.

Please provide me with evidence supporting your argument. I already showed you his hero charts place him at a bottom pairing dman.

We get a guy that can potentially change the culture of the team.  We are the team that gets speed bagged, we are the team that allows our rookies to get mugged, goalies to be run at, and are mocked.  This kid is exactly what they need, and he can play big minutes and be effective - its not like hes Engelland from the lames.

In exchange Florida gets TWO BIG GAMBLES  in McCann and the thirty third overall.  Gambles.

Yea, they're really relying on Hutton to take another big leap offensively and for Edler to regain his form.

If we don't have offense from the back end we're not going to be a playoff team.

We tied the OIlers in our last game of the year for offense from the blue line or we'd have had the worst bar none.

Some people speculating that Edler could indeed now be moved if he will waive for an extra 1st round pick.

Should that happen what offense we have from the blue line flatlines if Hutton isn't contributing

And i responded carefully. Just scroll up.

Oh nevermind, i'll type it here.

In regards to the chart...it gives you the results but it doesn't tell the story. Unless you watch the games he played...the chart is imcomplete

I like it. I'm still confused as to which year the picks are though.

For those, like myself who have wrestled with penciling the lineup for next year, McCann wasn't guaranteed a spot or even 13th forward. We get a much needed defenseman for a guy who might not be on the roster next year.

Acquiring a 24 year old NHL defenseman is great for us, both in the present and the future. It seems no one has a problem player for play McCann/Gudbranson, but the negative nancies draw a line with the 2nd rounder. The 4/5th is a push.

terrible logic. we won't know if we got owned for years to come, but looking at it today, we got owned.

No, today we traded stuff that won't impact next year, or possibly years to come, for a guy who logged the most minutes in the playoffs for a decent Florida team.

I really like this acquisition. I am nervous about the cost, including our 2knd round pick, a 33rd overall + McCann?

But how many D only just make the NHL at 23 or 24? Gudranson has already played 4 & 1/2 years in the NHL, is still a year from coming in to his prime & appears the perfect match to Hutton on our 2knd pair. He will be a horse!

And we just got the equiv of a 2knd round drafted D in Stecher.

Gudbranson makes this team that much more intimidating to play against.  That defence at the beginning of the year was way to easy to play against.  Add him and Tryamkin to the mix, gone are the days where players can plant themselves in front of the net comfortably.

Erik and Nikita make things that much more harder.
