Honeydew
Brendan Gaunce is a bust worst draft pick ever Carried Utica to beat Wolves in a due or die situation game. That's a +1 in my books.

TheHitman
I'd say he has priority to make the team next year over everyone other than Baer next year.
keredz
Nice to see that Gaunce had a great game after being scratched for the previous two playoff games. Good stuff!!
FlyLow_
Hopefully he can build off that game. Overall, really happy with his progress this season even if I don't understand the move to wing. He does everything you want a center to do.
Canucks1219
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddm3DpvN0q4 Post-game interview starts @ 8:12 I thought this during his interview with James Duthie at the draft and I still think it to this day... Man, this kid is mature beyond his years. Though that shouldn't come as a revelation to anyone.
DownUndaCanuck
Big game, big goals. Hope Gaunce and Shinkaruk get decent shots at the 4th line winger roles next season with the big team. Gaunce is definately physically and apparently mentally ready.

Gaunce is definately physically and apparently mentally ready. The 4th line is the last place you'd want Shinkaruk to play. If he's not getting a top-9 spot, he's better off getting top minutes and powerplay time with the Comets.
Sean Monahan
Can the trolls at least give a little effort? This is just a sad, sad effort.
Ronaldoescobar
I think he is highly overrated unfortunately... Career 4th line grinder if he makes the NHL

Threadsetter
I see gaunces ceiling being a responsible third liner with some offensive upside who can bring it in the playoffs. Nothing too shabby, wasn't a high risk pick to begin with.
Derp...
Gaunce is like Higgins I honestly see him filling that role to a T once Higgi is gone. His best years in the NHL he could score 25 goals, but on average he'll probably get around 17-20. Bigger body, good top speed, decent acceleration etc.
bigbadcanucks
I see leadership written all over this kid...I loved the way he took Tryamkin under his wing during the Prospects Camp. In Gaunce, I think we have the makings of a complete hockey player...someone who can give you 15G/15A while shutting down opposing teams' top line either from the wing or at the centre position. I think if we're patient, we're going to be rewarded with a real reliable 2-way player who can play in all situations.
rizzuto&hatoum
Brendan Gaunce as a playoff performer : in the 2012-13 OHL playoffs, Gaunce actually had a better PPG than Horvat, even though Bo was the playoff MVP. Gaunce stats - 17gp 8g 14a 22pts 1.29ppg while Horvat's were - 21gp 16g 7a 23pts 1.10ppg. So yeah, Gaunce has a pretty good playoff resume. Stormriders
Just watched the video after the final game in the Chicago series and am very impressed with the maturity and poise Brendan shows. In many ways, he reminds me of Bo. I think between the two of them, we will have great leadership for years to come, and both will be very strong playoff performers, .... just what we need. DownUndaCanuck
Gaunce has been playing the wing a fair bit, so to start next season (assuming we trade away Higgins), I think Gaunce will get a very good look at a bottom-6 winger position. Sedin - Sedin - Kassian X - Bonino - Vbrata X - Horvat - Hansen Dorsett - X - Burrows Those 3 spots are wide open for Jensen, Kenins, Baertschi, Vey, Shinkaruk or Gaunce. Cassels and McCann aren't going to jump straight into the NHL before doing their time in the AHL. If the kids aren't good enough, the veterans will get more ice time and this team will be pretty average. We NEED Gaunce and co. to step in and put up some offence.
