Gauncer! One game and the forgotten one is now our top prospect accorinding to CDC haha. He did play well, and I'm actually excited to see him play more with McCann, they had a couple solid shifts together last game. Virtanen should go to the net more look for rebounds like Bo did in the NHL last year.

I don't think that is even close to accurate. Many, including myself have been tipping Gaunce for stardom. Here is what I said a year ago.

I missed the 3rd but it was a solid game from what I saw. Lots of positives. Always room for improvement. Happy Ericsson is getting a good chance to showcase himself. Tanev looked smooth out there. Horvat is making benning choices a lot harder. There were times I was also real impressed with how fast Gaunce was moving. His foot speed won't be the reason he doesn't translate to the NHL.

I have also said that about Gaunce, he is a deceptive mover, a lot quicker than he looks. He is also smart which gives him an edge in speed of thought and anticipation. (future captain for me, 5years down the line)

Yup, I seem to remember having this same conversation a little while ago in this same thread. Not as high in our rankings of top prospects? Sure, but not forgotten by the people that follow our prospects closely.
