I think Canucks fans are just being paranoid.

They expect him to put up 1.5 points per game.... which is extremely unrealistic as everyone is after team Canada.

So when he's producing like he did in London he's healthy but when he's not producing he's injured? Silly Canucks fans. It was a rough tournament for team Canada, although extremely disappointing, look at Scott Laughton. He's the captain, he's tearing it up in the OHL this year an older player, look at the way he played. . Now that is what you call disappointing, none the less disappointing. extremely devestation to see Team Canada get lit up like this.

90% sure bo wasn't hurt.. it's a draining tournament.

Not saying he was injured because of his play. I remember two moments where I thought, oh crap he looks like he got injured. One was a check right to his head where he went down for a bit. The other was a shot off his foot where he limped off after.

It might not have affected his game at all, but it would explain his skating being a step off. Or maybe he was just moving his feet more playing with McDavid and Reinhart, who knows?

Either way I like his game considering the rest of the teams play. You can tell he can play multiple roles in order to help a team win.

Was really impressed with Bo this tournament for certain things yet really dissapointed with Bo for certain things as well this tournament.

Good: -Defensive Positioning obviously excels. Really good at putting his body and skates in the way of guys passing the puck for steals.

- Really impressed with his play making with the puck, has a knack for finding the right guy at the right time for a scoring chance. Always has his head up and has great vision. Simple but very effective

-Has an amazing wrist shot when he gets the chance, too bad he doesn't have the speed or stickhandling to creat space for himself

Bad: -Not a gamebreaker, kinda just fits in where needed but didn't seem to take it upon himself to bear down and make something happen

- Play without the puck. Found him to float a lot and not move his feet, really just relies on positioning rather than effort to be in the right spot. His skating is fine he just needs to put more effort into moving his feet to attack the puck or get into the open.

Overall I think the world juniors is a great spot to really see how a prospect plays when surrounded by world class players. Bo showed himself to be a decent role player and make some decent plays but not really stand out in anyway unless your a homer fan and trying your hardest to find a silver lining. I think his play with the puck showed he can make NHL plays with the puck, passing and shooting. He obviously has the defensive ability to be effective as a pro no matter what. His lack of intensity is what was kinda surprising to me, the way he floated around unless he was a couple of steps from the puck. I noticed this as at Canucks camp and saw it again here so imo his lack of effort and lack of quickness is what is going to limit him from being an elite player in the NHL, good 3rd line player most likely and potentially a decent 2nd liner. Basically exactly what he is projected to be. I guess the question is whether if this is good enough to warrent a 9th overall pick and pass on Nichushkin.

I just see the questions that people wonder about him and think, 'didn't Ryan O'reilly have the same questions about him'?

And to think he's a better Ryan O'Reilly as well.. I just don't see him being a 3rd liner. Maybe the best third liner in the NHL like a Joe Pavelski type who shouldn't be there, but I'd bank on him as a top six forward.

If that were true then Sam Reinhart won't be going first overall and Laughton will be an average player.

This tournament isn't the be all and end all for prospects contrary to popular belief. Lots of good players have been left off of team Canada or had average tournaments. Hell even Drouin wasn't much of a game breaker despite being a 3rd overall pick.

This is what happens when fans base things on their first time watching a player. He's one of the hardest workers on the Knights, and intensity has never been a problem for him.

You don't have to be a homer to say that he had a decent tournament. But you have to take things in perspective as well. There were only a few standouts on this team despite having a boatload of talent. That comes down to coaching. If Bo was one of the only average players on the team, I would be worried, but he obviously wasn't so I'm not gonna put much focus on this tournament.

I'm not the best analyst by any means, and I didn't get a chance to watch the game today as I was in school.. but from what I did see I thought Bo had an incredibly solid tourny.

He did everything he was asked to. More points would have been nice, but he was the staple on a line between two young guns to start things off before being placed almost exclusively in a more defensive role. He put up a respectable point total, and would have contributed more had he been in a more offensive role, but he played his defensive role excellently. Unlike some of the others on the team he showed up every game, and had some dangerous looks in the offensive zone in spite of his role. He won't have a gold medal hanging around his neck, but he had a pretty good tournament.

Just my two cents.

I think Horvat is hurt, groin in injury or something affecting his ability to push off in his first few strides.

He gets some time on the PP, but never seems to get the puck. No chemistry on the second unit.

Overall really happy that he got the experience. He didn't overwhelm in a positive or negative way, but certainly showed he was capable playing the PK and taking key d-zone draws.

We'll see how he really plays when he gets back to London. London hasn't lost a game since Horvat and Zhardarov left for the world Juniors. In fact they have been (London Knights) beating their opponents by a lot. Lets see what happens.

yeah, but theyve also been allowing 5 goals/game. theyre over compensating for bad defence

I noticed his legs were slow right from the get go in this tournament, but he's so smart and strong that he was still effective in all 3 zones. I would venture to guess the theories surrounding a groin/leg injury would be plausible.

All in all, a strong tournament for Bo. He was counted on to win big draws and be the responsible forward on his line. Impressive for an 18 year old.

don't mean to rip him, but he was not all that noticeable offensively for a guy who has 44 points in 28 OHL games, I was expecting more speed, more points, more domination in the offensive end.

I really think he is nursing some nagging injury or is feeling post concussive effects from the hit to the head against Germany
