CanuckleHorse
I seen on the leafs trade rumours that leaf fans think that Guddy is not even good enough to be in their top 6 they said he is not even an upgrade on Polak I hope Guddy destroys one of their players with a big hit and he has the game of the year tonight and sticks it to the pukes! Gaudette Celly
Quote OooOOooo, do I like that guy... he would love him to come here, but you'd have to give up a guy like Brown or Marner or something like that. - Don Cherry, Jan 6, 1028
WeneedLumme
Enjoyed hearing Cherry saying during the intermission that Guddy would be a great addition to the Leafs, but he would cost at least Brown or maybe even Marner.

Don Cherry still has it! Any Canuck fan who watched the TO Laffers game and did not see what Gudbranson brings is simply not watching closely enough. In the 1st he took out a number of players either with hits or more simply forcing players off the puck physically. As I watched it struck me how much his play was detering the Laffer offence. If Benning cannot resign Guddy it will be a sad day for the rebuild. The Canucks will be bringing a large cadre of youth into the lineup over the next few years and they will need the physical shelter that players like EG can give. Besides all this I do not understand the comments about his inability to move the puck up ice? He was doing just that all night. 1

And now with Tanev out again... it's "now-time" to re-sign Gudbranson to something comfortable for both player and management and get the monkey off the back. 1 1
MacIPuma
I really dont think he is going anywhere, we dont have that toughness in the back end.. He needs to shoot more use that hardshot of his..

TheRocket18
Not so gud tonight. Nice chip off Marky shoulder. Wilson gave henrik a good check, no response. Hes gotta be hurt, or afraid to get hurt. Lags out there. Also loses his check and allows 3 on 2s to be way favorable to the shooter Imo. Damn we need someone just like him, but not compromised, and for him to not be the only deterrant. Hows mcann doing? Checking.... 11 pts 30 games. Guds has 2 pts, and somehow is not a minus.

TheRocket18
For sure unlucky on that one, I wish he was better so I didn't have this frustration with him. His toolbox looks great, just gotta open it.

Symptom of a mediocre, rebuilding team with catastrophic injuries to important/key players more than any individual player performance. Basically everyone is being tasked with playing over their heads and the cracks are showing on what was never expected to be a particularly dominant team when healthy.

Hutton was the physical force for the team yesterday, and it looked good on him.

Guddy has a decent +/- because he makes it really hard on opponents to get to the high scoring areas. Without the weak goals our two guys tend to let in, I think Guddy would have an even better +/-

Boudrias
What no comments on how 'badly' Gudbranson has played on this road trip? Not! Many positive comments on Edler's play which I do not disagree with but Gudbranson has had a great trip. Still hoping he can be reisgned, even with term, as long as the CAP hit is not terrible. -AJ-
Gudbranson had a terrible defensive game against the Wild, but he's been good physically, as he usually is.

A physical team that was taking a pound of flesh out of us and Guddy did nothing to deter the other team. Last night at the end of the game, Chris Wagner took a shot at Brock Boeser, who was literally right beside Guddy, and you know he saw it, yet Guddy didn't respond. yeah we had lost the game, and no point stirring up crap, but you just don't let your superstar goal scorer take a cheapshot from a scrub like Wagner. I've defended Guddy, but I've come to terms that his reign is very much likely coming to an end, and how he has looked the past few games, as if he has already mentally left signifies his heart was never here to be a Canuck. Reminds me of Brandon Prust all over again. agree with everything but the Prust comment. Prust was actually pissed he was scratched and wouldn't take it for 1 second if Boeser got pushed around in front of his face. I say ship out Guddy back to Florida and hopefully get a similar trade to the McCann one.
