Jock Cousteau
Will he continue to be Canucks property or will he walk?
Nessnuck27
I really hope he can stick around. We need his help on D. If Hamhuis is around... Sbisa won't play.
MeanSeanBean
One of my favourite all time Canucks. I thought he would have been a great choice for captain all those years ago. Fingers crossed that they find a new home for Sbisa via a trade this summer to recoup picks or maybe a prospect. I have nothing against the guy, I have actually always been a vocal Pizza supporter. I just think that Hammer would have a better mentor presence on the team and Sbisas physical presences has been replaces with Gubby and Try. Shift-4
If he comes back I would love to see him and Hutton rotate turns with Gudbranson. Hamhuis and and Gudbranson would be our ultimate shutdown duo. Hutton and Gud would be development for the future.
Guest
I remember the day we signed him. I was fully expecting it, but what I wasn't expecting was the elation that followed, realising we had signed such a fantastic player. 2011, and his injury, will remain the greatest 'what if?' in my Canucks lifetime; all that remains to say is thanks for the memories, we hope you win a Cup with your next team. Qwags
I hope he sticks around. That leadership value alone is of huge importance.
Ojibwa72
His Leadership cannot be let go for the young defenders. A consummate professional they should all model after not only on the ice but off ice as well. Would hate to see him walk and if we would have to move another piece to retain him I think it should be looked at.
Guest
Edler - Tanev Hutton - Gudbranson Tryamkin - Larsen Pedan - Sbisa Biega We're already going to have to waive a D man, signing Hamhuis would make that two. Unlikely in my opinion. Edited May 31, 2016 by Guest

Kraken70
I've said this in a couple threads. I want him to stay. He had a rough year, all round, last year but still managed to come back from a pretty bad injury. I'd prefer to see Hammer re-signed and deal Edler. I could see a few teams having interest in him. I just watched a report on TSN that opened up the possibility of a team like the Rangers being willing to make a few deals to change things up. Could they use an offensive defenseman, who I believe, could use a change?
Alflives
Bye bye Dan. Don't let the door hit you in the backside on your way to: somewhere you don't want to live.

J-23
Hamhuis was a beast when he played on this team. He had his rough times like most players but what he did for us will not be forgotten. Players like him were the main reason our defensive core was amazing.

Dan "Family Man" Hamhuis was a great Canuck and probably would have liked to retire as one, much like Bieksa, but alas, it wasn't in the cards. Great defenseman and all around human.
hammertime
So this just pissed me right off. Sekeres and Price] Dan Hamhuis waived his NMC to go to Dallas or Chicago. He also wasn't offered a contract extension despite being willing to give a "significant hometown discount"
