TO would be just stupid enough to do it

First I still don't get the MCann trade, if we're rebuilding it would have made a lot more sense to keep what we knew we had.

Hear me out, we trade for a 25 year old non point producing D Man, with a year before he is a RFA, because we already know we're going to draft another young forward , be it Tkachuk, or Dubois.

Now it's to late to get Jarred back but we can still bail ourselves out and get some picks back.

Instead we trade our #5 to Toronto, so they  can get brother Nylander, but this is what we get back.

Their  #30 first round ,31 second round,#56 second round and #61 fourth round.

Maybe throw #56 and steal Tyler Benson , don't want another, Brendan Gallagher, or Milan Lucic.

Unless Montreal  wants to barter something youthful back in trade swaps maybe Chychrun is still there at #9.

I don't get this management, we're  not making the playoffs for  at  least 3 years, Gudbranson is almost 29 by then, and  may have mustered maybe 7or 8 goals, I'd  take my chances on a drafted  kid now and see what he's like at 21, save the money.

Yup, figured as much.......

So trade a pick that could possibly land us a 1st liner for four picks that could all end up being Nathan Smiths. How about no, we need quality more than quanitity and Tyler Benson ain't no superstar in the making and way overrated in these boards. Benning won't trade our top pick just to draft Tyler freaking Benson.
