Having your career cut short due to injury has got to suck. I wish him the best.
Monty
Knew this was happening for the last 3 years. Had severe back injuries. Was just waiting for his contract to run out and announce it. Really serviceable and had one really good season with the Blue Jackets.

While many of us fight through school, get degrees and make 50k, he has unfortunatly played hockey and made 100's of thousands of dollars. I am so sad. There are some people in this world that don't require everything in their life to be going well in order to feel empathy for other people. I don't find it hard to empathize with someone that is no longer able to do something that they love.

I'm not exactly saddened by this news but I can still empathize with the guy.

He may not have a degree from university/college (he might, not sure) but he still had to work pretty damn hard to make the salary he made in the NHL. The same applies to us who have to work hard through school to earn a said 50k career.

Never mind playing between the lines of Luca Cunti and Bill Quackenbush. No one could shoot like Alexander Semin and lets not gloss over Radek Bonk. After this game, we'll all meet up with Bob Beers!
