Realistic Point Projections

Providing that our team (as it stands now) stays relatively healthy, what do you think our forward point production might me for 16/17?

Here is my guess:

D. Sedin 80   H. Sedin 75   Hansen 60

Baertschi 40  Sutter 50      Virtanen  35

Burrows 35     Horvat 45     Vey 25

Gaunce 15     Granlund 15    Dorsett 25

I will quote you before you change it again.  That's 500 total points from 12 forwards.  (you had it much higher before your edit)

Last year we had 20 forwards play for the Canucks......they totalled 352 points....  42% increase in forward scoring......not even counting points we will get from callups.  Realistic?

For comparison this year Pittsburg's 22 forwards only got 450 points total.

Washington got 507 points with 18 forwards.

Burr plays on two lines - gets 60, sounds legit!

Other than that I think you're estimating  high on the whole 1st & 3rd lines, low on BoHo/Beart

Thanks!   I didn't realize I estimated way too high.  I didn't realize that Pits and Wash were that high.....I guess I'm being WAY optimistic.

Baertschi 35    Horvat 50        Virtanen 27

Hutton 39   Gudbranson 18

Sbisa 11     Tryamkin 9

Hansen I hope will be shipped out. If he doesnt he will prob get 45 pts max. 60 pts for him is very unrealistic

Sedin 65  Sedin 65  Hansen 40

Bear 35-40  Sutter 35-40 Virtanen 20

Burrows 20  Horvat- 40-45  Vey 20

Gaunce 10  Granlund 15-20  Dorsett 15

Just copied ur lines cuz im too lazy to make my own.

I think Tryamkin will get 10-20 with his shot.

Heres my prediction! Borrowing ur format whytelight lol.

D. Sedin 62  H Sedin 63 Hansen 50

Baertschi 52  Sutter 55      Virtanen  35

Burrows 8     Horvat 55     Vey 14

Gaunce 35     Granlund 35    Dorsett 25

I don't think vey will be back in any full time role prob moved.  Virt is gonna get between 15-20 goals imo and horvat could very well excel beyond this past year.  (Horvat has better point production then the Sedins did in their full 2nd season.)

I'm glad you showed restraint with Burrs totals.

Other than that, Baer is a little low don't you think?

Great post. The difference between a well researched thought out projections compared to random numbers off the top of your head. Salute.

I would be pretty happy with these numbers.

Agree mostly. Would like to see more from virtanen.
