Dusty_Undies
If Dubois is still available at 5, would you shop Horvat for a pick between 6-10? . What would Horvat's trade value be?
goblix
Untradeable. As in why would we trade him?
Where's Wellwood
We picked him at 9 and his value to us has only gone up. Why would we trade him for a 6-10 pick?
Dusty_Undies
Haha. Just like the great one...99 I think not sir. Henrik Sutter Gaunce ( and yes I'm aware the whole Utica LW idea but I think he belongs at C) Granlund. All players who will likely be around for a few years. Center is position we would be doing well on with a pick up like Dubios. Defense is where we need some help.
cdubuya
probly could have had Drouin. CDC woulda lost its crap but it is possible it would have been a steal for this team given how well he played in the playoffs
Whale Tail
Mathews and Laine are the only 2 players in the draft I would consider trading Horvat for. Horvat is going to be a beast.
soshified
Considering that Yzerman wanted Horvat (apparently) for Drouin should tell you what's Horvat's value is currently at.

JustABandwagoner
Wont be traded. Hes a untouchable unless its for like Matthews Mcdavid, Laine etc. Those trades wont happen. 19 minutes ago, soshified said: Considering that Yzerman wanted Horvat (apparently) for Drouin should tell you what's Horvat's value is currently at. ^^ This. But that was a while ago. If JB phoned up Yzerman now, he would decline Horvat for Drouin pretty sure.
-Vintage Canuck-
Everyday, his trade value is increasing. As for your question, no, I wouldn't trade Bo Horvat if we draft Pierre-Luc Dubois. Henrik - he is turning 36 this year, and probably has four years left in him at max. Sutter - can also play on the right wing. Gaunce - can also play on the left wing. Granlund - third/fourth line centerman. Dubois - will need a year or two before making the big club. In four years from now, this is how I see it: Dubois Horvat Sutter Granlund
SaintPatrick33
A Horvat trade speculation thread? Please go back to the Leafs forum, you are much better suited to post there. This kid has improved everything scouts said he sucked at, including skating (blew by burns), stick-handling (check out the toe drag moves from this year), Shooting (how many top shelfers did he score this year).... only thing he needs to work on is faceoffs. No point trading a kid who keeps improving his game, I guess you enjoy getting flamed OP?

Fox Mulder
Horvat's trade value is less than the value he means to the team. He's here for the long haul. Will hopefully settle in as a solid 2 way second line center in a couple of years.

-AJ-
His value his sky high right now and honestly, is probably worth more to us than other teams will acknowledge, thus he's not worth trading.

Laine = First line LW Horvat = Penciled in second line C with potential for more 5th pick let's say it's Tkachuk = Potential first line LW. And you think by trading one of our best forward for a pick will help our defense? Even if you select a defensemen, he won't play NHL next year. Even if that defenseman eventually becomes a 1st pairing guy, it will take at least 3 years. By then the Sedins will be gone and Sutter will be on the decline. Lots of IFs and BUTs for risking trading Horvat. Odds are reasonable Dubois will be a top 6, but a true #1 centerman? That's a long shot. Therefore our center line would be 1C ??? 2C Dubois 3C Gaunce 4C Grandlund Ouch!
Fanuck
In many other draft years BoHo likely would've gone top 5, & you want to trade him for a lower pick in the 6-? Range. Keep trolling then.......
