So I went to Canada.

Watched the Canucks beat Toronto, met tehminister who is a lovely chap & had a great week overall.

got out just before a huge snow warning so I hope you guys are all ok :D

Edit: Also I appear to have snuck up to 15th overall so um, thanks to my great GMing abilities?

Sorry, missed this post...

It was awesome tho meet you! I wish I had more time to show you around the sites but I'm glad you were able to make it to the game. You picked the worst week of the year for weather though... that's just dumb luck.

/ Brunners was a class act, top notch chap. Hoping he can make it back it a more seasonal time of year.

TRADE: There has been a trade between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Boston Bruins (retroactive to Dec 11, 2016):

To small.pngChicago: Matt Hendricks

To small.pngBoston: CHI 4th 2017

GM Somethingvery wishes to thank GM @greensman for the negotiations on our first trade with the GML Chicago Blackhawks. Although some may consider this a small move, this was an additional player to fill out our roster that was depleted due to inactivity and injury woes.

With Hendricks and recent signings Hunt (3 points his first 3 games since call up), scoring-stud Ryan and our young nhl-playing prospects, we hope to pull together a respectable, complete team to finish off this year. The Blackhawks already had some excellent playoff-bound assets to begin with, and we will continue to work hard with our eyes set on making significant gains in the standings as early as next season.

Player Movement:

Vancouver places Jonathan Toews on LTIR effective Morning of Dec 3rd

He has been activated effective morning of Dec 13th.

To theMinister: I dropped the ball on this and missed the announcement, but I did get the request. Vancouver GM went to activate Toews thiis morning and realized he was never put on LTIR. My mistake.

We signed Matt last season as a filler for the ill Cody McCormick. Matt filled the role, and then some... potting some goals, grinding some PIM`s a,d playing all top and down the lineup, as we needed. These players are the stuff that successful bottom 6`s are made of, and it was a pleasure to have Matt onboard and in the locker room.

Realistically though,  the organization is dealing with the aftermath of our rebuild, which obligates us to commit to youth. Sadly, this means we have to say goodbye to Matt, but we are pleased to have successful dealings with Chicago`s new GM, and we know Matt will have the best opportunities possible in Chicago. Special thanks to @somethingvery for easy and fun negotiations.

Waivers: The Chicago Blackhawks waive Tom Gilbert for the purpose of assigning him to our minor league affiliate.

You wouldn't have enough minors cap space to accommodate this.

/ Saying that... your budget was never set by the previous GM. I would allow you to make changes to that now, if you want. It's a one time offer though, otherwise you'll need to wait until the offseason.

Thank you Commish theminister,

I will take your one time offer up; the Chicago Blackhawks will simply expand the minors budget to $30 million and take that from the player relations budget.

SIGNING: The Chicago Blackhawks have signed forward Derek Ryan to a two year deal.

small.png  Derek Ryan: 2 years, $ 1.85 million dollar contract ( $ 925,000.00 per season ).

Hard not to have a special appreciation for the path, and current success, that Derek Ryan took to make it to the NHL.

seems there was mush love between the sens and the sharks tonight

i m not a great fan of those pims and i would rather see goals and assists (and a hattrick) higher rewarded in this league

while  pims should get reduced  but for now its part of the league .

hoffman (15 pims 1 A +1)  and mason alone got me 30 points tonight

schaller with another scorerpoint

39 points totsl tonight if i m correct ...not bad ...but it leaves the bad taste of those pims

i hope there will be some changes at the scoring structure for 17/18
