Heard a bit of a certain Shane Malloy on my drive home listening to Bmac and Don.

Nice to hear preaching patience with the likes of Virtanen and promoting the quiet quality of Juolevi etc.

Hopefully that rubs off on some of terrible sports network's largely terrible listeners (at least the ones who call in)

Keep fighting the good fight guys!

Thank you sir for the kind words. I try to bring reason and evidence to discussions about prospects.

Player development is a slow process even among the elite and it is often forgotten that their brains have not finished developing yet.

It impacts the intellectual and emotional responses of the individual, which in turn changes the decisions made the individual player.

At least I know someone was listening!  LOL

I have a garage full of that! Will you take an old door for Grabner?  :P

If it's a front door, red, and can withstand me kicking it due to my team's constant failure, then yes.

Report: With the Red Wings lingering around the middle of the pack once again, management is said to be considering some major moves. Namely, defencemen Olli Maatta and Derrick Pouliot, who were once considered untouchable by the organization, are starting to surface as players that could be moved under the right circumstances. Sources say there is no rush to make any sort of deal, but the Red Wings are listening to what other teams have to say.

After dipping their toes in the trade market to try and find some healthy bodies while the infirmary is full, the Habs found the prices to be a touch high so they've decided to sit back and see how things unfold. We're well aware of our drop in the standings over the past month, but some skaters are getting back on the ice so we're going to see how things proceed between now and the deadline.

Philadelphia Flyers Statement:

New management in Philly runs things a little different. We've already invested a lot of money in Player Relations to ensure that our players are happy and that new players coming in feel as though they are taken care of.

One way in which this is going to be followed through this season is to give specific players who could be targets for the trade deadline, specifically Jason Zucker, Mikko Koivu, Nick Holden, and Michael Grabner, some peace of mind.

Trade deadline for our organization will come a little sooner, as we want players, either leaving or coming in, to have ample time to get their families acclimated to the new organization and city they may be joining.

So, in saying this, none of our players will be traded after Sunday, January 8th.
