aGENT
Just to be clear, I'm assuming that the recent UFA signing where of the 'negotiations before January 1' variety. We're not allowed to start discussions with another two pending UFA's until Feb 15, correct?

greensman
Read the headlines, and came to a realization... Yeo stepping in, could really change my team over the coming months. (Tarasenko, Schwartz and Shattenkirk) Changes will be slow and calculated, but can`t wait to see it happen.

greensman
Ok, a few of you have expressed surprised that I`m not loading up for a playoff run... If I made the playoffs today: red = wildcard/fringe team Niederreiter - Stepan - Draisaitl King - Desjardins Del Zotto - K. Miller Clendenning Elliot Understand? We wait... come on Yeo! Primal Optimist
I look to the NHL when we get to discussing a team's 'buying or selling or standing pat'. In the real world the 8 teams that make the playoffs in each conference have maybe between them 6 total teams that "buy" a player or add a rental for the playoff run....the rest dance with the date that took them to the prom. Conversely, of the 14 teams that don't make the dance at all not all sell off their expensive and good players just because this year was cut short. Maybe 5 to 8 of them do. In short, I like fantasy keeper leagues to mirror the real world, if each player is 4% of the team, very rarely will a team swap out more than 20% in any one year....if you are doing so, it is my thought that your maybe doing it wrong..but that is just an opinion. I have an opinion on lots of things, as we all know. haha....I will move out a player or bring in a player if the move is right for where I want my club to go from a strategic perspective...but to swap out players as a tactic is a bit disengenuous for me. I know others may like it like that, and that is cool too. More importantly the Rangers are fully healthy heading into the night....

lethunder
As the trade deadline approaches and the Sabres are spinning their wheels in 22nd place the following players are likely to be made available by the club: Tomas Plekanec (138 points) - Great playoff middle 6 player Daniel Winnik (106 points) - Excellent playoff bottom 6 player Dominic Moore (107 points) - PHENOMENAL playoff bottom 6 player Rumor has it that Claude Giroux (215 points) might be on the block for the right deal as well... aGENT
Bit of an odd question: I've still got Sekac (who went back to Europe this year) on my minors roster who's on an expiring RFA deal. If I qualify him but don't sign him, do I still retain his rights as in real life (if he stays in the KHL again)?
