aGENT
It's both a tough and happy day here in Colorado. First things first, we'd like to thank TBL GM @Nail for a pleasant negotiation where both teams end up getting pieces they wanted. We'd also like to thank the executive as well as Malkin and his agent with their help in navigating Malkin's NMC. It's never easy to let go of an elite player of Malkin's caliber but given where we are as an organization, we really felt we owed it to Malkin to give him and Weber a better shot at a cup than we're presently able to offer. We wish both nothing but luck in this years playoffs. The TBL look a lot scarier with you guys in the fold. Give'em hell. We're also thrilled to bring in some solid young pieces in Hertl, Bowey and Bailey as well as a good veteran D in Beauchemin who we're counting on, along with our other vets, to help show all these kids the ropes on becoming solid pros. Right now I think TB is 8th in the East (and 10th overall) - that's an absurdly good team to have to face in the first round as a reward for finishing 1st overall (currently Washington ) No thanks. Particularly if the Isles make the playoffs, which is looking more and more likely.

Once it's become clear that they have a good chance, it was time to go all in.
aGENT
Further rumours coming out of COL that pending UFA's and playoff bound vets could be available for rentals for playoff teams looking to make a push. A few teams have been calling, trying to get in before the TDL rush and we've heard COL may even be willing to retain cap if the value is there. Obvious players teams would consider would be Eberle, Brassard, Petry and Eaves who's on a particularly budget conscious contract.
