So we've had Calgary as our home opener three years in a row but it's interesting we're going to be Anaheim's opponent in their opener, same as last year.

And Anaheim is the home opener for four teams this year.

Thankfully, the Lions vs Winnipeg is on Friday the 14th and not on the same night as the Canucks' home opener.

The CFL and TSN are finally learning not to have Saturday night home games in the same city, on the day and time as their respective NHL locals. Especially, here in Vancouver like it's been for the past 2-3 years.

ah the Flames to start the season.... so much more annoying if we lose, yet so much more satisfying if we win.

Yes this is a good home opener with the added interest of Gulatzan now coaching in Calgary. Too bad the season starts so late this year. Does this mean the games are more concentrated (as in Olympics years)?
