On free agent market edler would be offered 7-8 mill by at least 5-10 teams his value is huge and hes not being trade. If canucks can have a healthy dcorp this yr watchout its gonna be top 3 in league especially with the way tryamkin smashes players coming into our zone i love it. Edler isn't young anymore and it would not be sensible to trade our only blue line veteran leader anyway (assuming Hamhuis leaves). Hutton is young, but with the promise he shows it makes no sense to send him anywhere. No point in discussing the Canucks as a trade partner. Had a rough year but he was injured for parts of it IIRC. They don't need to "dump" him. If they wanted him gone, they could easily get some picks and some prospects. "Dump" suggests that they'll give him away for nothing (like Ehrhoff), which just won't happen. The dude is only 24.
