This injury is turning into a paranoidal cyst on CDC's collective butt....

One of your best posts. Not like the one in my signature....lol

PS Rollieo Del Fuego:  Only 27 days for Hutton, Stecher, and Juolevi to make their way into the Canucks top 4.....

Please don't make silly claims again lol.

They are still waiting for the MRI results from St. Paul’s. Could be another few weeks really...

Wouldn't fly him to Vancouver to get MRI, quicker in US for a team with deep pockets.

Once done radiologist can read in a matter of minutes as would orthopaedic/sports med specialist.

The amount of time this has taken would suggest there is a lot more than imaging going on or that they just don't feel the need to tell us everything for a prospect as we are all mostly paranoid hand wringers.

Would suspect was doing some specialized rehab, has had a flare of back issue, was something non-hockey related or was in substance program.  Kind of reminds me of times when Kassian was out of the lineup.  I am not trying to start a rumour, just saying it is kind of strange the non-news for one of their top prospects.

I suspect its his back. They were probably trying to figure out if his disc issue could be handled via a new exercise rehab routine or if they needed to go back in. Since he's back in Utica, I suspect its a new rehab routine.

JB said it was lower body.  Is one’s back lower body?

It’s the secrecy that’s disturbing.  Why be so secretive, unless it is non hockey related?

the secrecy is normal now, you don't get to know what injuries are now other than concussions really, maybe blocked shot injuries too since they're so obvious.

I'm just guessing completely, but I could see OJ getting leg numbness e.g., from a disc issue. So "lower body" would apply. Just a guess tho.

Who was it that had the scoots under AV?: "Well it started as an upper body injury and then it became a lower body injury."

I know he didn't but AV looked and sounded like he got baked before every presser.

but the surprising thing no one in Utica is also reporting on this if he got injured during a game, practice or training. If the injury happened during some tyoe of hockey activity on the ice someone over there should have seen it.

thats why I think its some sort of lingering numbness or something along those lines, no one would notice it but him

Maybe he has one of these:

Fish odor syndrome - When a person has trimethylaminuria, colloquially known as fish odor syndrome, they emit an unpleasant body odor, reminiscent of the smell of rotting fish, through their sweat, exhaled breath, and urine.

Foreign accent syndromeImagine this: you were born and grew up in New York, and you have a stereotypically metropolitan American accent. One day, however, as you are engaged in one of your favorite sports, you receive a heavy blow to the head, and you pass out. When you wake up in the emergency room and call out to the nurse, you realize something shocking has happened to you — your New-Yorkese accent is gone, and it has been replaced by what sounds like a strong British English accent.

Proteus syndromeOne of the strangest rare diseases on record to date is the Proteus syndrome, a condition in which different types of tissue — bones, skin, but also the tissue of organs or arteries — grow disproportionately.

Lots of people watch the NFL only because they have different kinds of wagers on the league.  If the NHL wants to increase interest through a similar way, then those who bet will want to know about injuries.
